Vicktorya "Vicious Vicky" Melrose
Feel it comin' in the air
Hear the screams from everywhere
I'm addicted to the thrill
It's a dangerous love affair

Age 25 | Female | Peacekeeper District 2 Problem?
Sharp heals squeal on the recently waxed floor of the training center as Vicktorya, or Vicious Vicky as she'd come to be known, stalks towards the gym. People stop what they're doing to give the tall, 6'5" peacekeeper some space. She flashes her cruel smile at those brave enough to stand in her way and they move swiftly, avoiding her long, sharp nails. She feels a certain satisfaction at watching them cower before her. It filled her with a sense of power. An unlucky tribute gets in her way and she flicks her wrist. The student reals back, holding their face which has blood streaming out of it. Vicky laughs a cruel laugh and the student runs off. That'll teach em she thinks in satisfaction. Before entering the gym, she ties back her long black hair with an elastic she always wears on her wrist and heads inside. The head peacekeeper sees her and calls her over. Vicky narrows her deep green eyes and walks over to him. He looks her up and down before deciding what she'll do for that day. "Drills and fighting" the head peacekeeper barks at her. She wrinkles her straight nose in disgust but does as she's told. There was no arguing with the head peacekeeper.

"Is that the best you can do, little tributes" her voice snarled at the tributes who were fighting. They looked pathetic. She shook her round head in disgust and picked up a sword. "This is how you fight in the arena" she said, rushing at one of the tributes who tried to block but was clearly outweighed by her 200 lb body of pure muscle. Not an ounce of fat anywhere on her body. She knocked the tribute to the ground and pinned him under her, her sword against his neck. His opponent looked at her in fear and she smiled a cruel smile at him. After a few moments, she unfolded her long, strong body and stood gracefully. Her heals had been replaced by runners and she could move better in them. As the tribute got up, she dealt him a backhanded blow to the face, her nails making a satisfying gash in his cheek. The second one that day. She left them then, the one holding his face trying the stop the bleeding and the other looking dazed and confused. She grinned menacingly. She was not someone you messed with, Ever. The students in the gym shrank away from her as she stalked past, none of them meeting her menacing gaze.

As she headed to the changeroom, she let her long arms relax to her sides from their crossed position. Now, time to go home, finally she thought to herself. She stripped off her shirt and looked at her body in the mirror. It was nice, she'd admit that but it was also deadly. She could take down anyone that stood in her way. She put on her usual outfit; A black tank top, black jeans, and black boots, and walked out of the changeroom with an air of menace. Like usual, the students shrank away from her as she walked past. "Where do you think you're going, Peacekeeper Melrose" a voice she despised asked from behind her. She turned to see one of the other peacekeepers, Nathaniel, looking at her. She narrowed her deep green eyes at him before turning away. "Unlike you, Nathaniel, I've got a life outside this place" she said icily. Nathaniel laughed. "Your funny, Melrose, Now where are you going?" he asked, getting inside her space. She growled warningly but he didn't back off. "Whats it matter to you?" she asked, keeping her voice deathly calm. Her eyes flaming with anger. He shoved her and that was the last straw.

She shoved him back, anger rising in her like flames. She would NOT be pushed around like that. "Don't touch me" she spat at him, slapping him hard across the face. She could see a bruise beginning to form already and felt satisfaction fill her. He rounded on her, kicking out. She dodged nimbly and flew at him. She didn't normally fight with people but Nathaniel was the exception. Pain seared through her as his foot connected with her stomach and she flew back, hitting the wall. She landed on her feet though, she had been trained to land on her feet since she could walk. No one, especially good for nothing Nathaniel was going to make her fall. She blocked out the pain and started to go after him but a gentle hand on her shoulder stopped her. "He's not worth it Vicky" a familiar voice said. She turned to see the head peacekeeper standing there, looking at Nathaniel with disapproval. "You, Peacekeeper Nathaniel, are suspended for provoking another Peacekeeper," the head peacekeeper barked. Vicktorya looked at Nathaniel in victory as he muttered something and turned over his badge.

She sat down at the table, the screaming hot plate of food in her hand and started to eat. She didn't taste anything because she was too disturbed by Nathaniels sudden attack. Why the hell did he attack me? she wondered, chewing thoughtfully. She didn't usually ponder these sorts of things, but this particular event had taken a toll on her. It wasn't like she couldn't handle herself in a fight, it was just the fact that the head Peacekeeper had had to get involved. Once she was done, she stacked her plate in the sink, knowing that she'd have to do the dishes at some point but the big problem was that she never had the time to do the dishes. Once that was done, she put on her peacekeeper uniform and pulled her hair up. Then, she headed out the door towards the guard towers that surrounded the district.

"Name" the woman at the check in said in a very bored voice. Vicky smiled her most charming of smiles. "Vicktorya Melrose, ma'am" she said. The woman nodded and let her in. Vicky stalked towards the guard tower and mounted the steps in silence. She was lost in thought of her childhood that she didn't notice the other peacekeeper until she bumped right into him. "Watch it" the man said. Vicky looked up and was greeted by a pair of warm blue eyes. "s-sorry" she said. She didn't often stumble on her words and this made her mad at herself. The other peacekeeper smiled and continued down the stairs. Get it together Vicky, you have no time for men she told herself stubbornly, but no matter what she did, she couldn't get the picture of his warm blue eyes out of her mind.

She sat inside the tower, completely bored because nothing was happening. As she sat, she let her mind wander back to her childhood.
She remembered a particular event that had happened when she was 17 that involved her brother, who was a year older than her.
It hadn't been a bad childhood, just a plain one like everyone elses. She'd had a mother and a father, a sister and a brother, and a kitten named Sparkle. The only thing different about her childhood had been that she was trained in the art of fighting and combat from a young age of 5. The one to teach her all of this? Her mother of course. Her mother had also been a peace keeper all her life and had wanted her daughter to be one as well.
She remembered a particular event that had happened when she was 17 that involved her brother, who was a year older than her.
Grunts echoed through the gym as the students pushed their bodies into all sorts of positions. Her instructor flew at her but Vicky was fast. She ducked out of the way and watched her instructor stagger as he almost lost his balence. He quickly regained it and turned on her, flying at her once again. She tried to duck but the instructor was faster and he barreled into her, knocking both of them to the ground and pinning Vicky under his larger weight. She struggled to get up but he was too heavy. Finally, she gave up and let her body relax. As her instructor began to relax, she exploded up at him and knocked him off her. He looked taken aback by her ferocity and she smiled triumphantly. "Well done, Miss Melrose. You'll be a peace keeper before you know it." He praised. She nodded and headed off towards the changeroom. She passed by where her brother was training and he broke away from the group. "Hey, sis, are you done already" he asked in disbelief. Sighing, Vicky nodded. Her brother was so annoying. He smiled. "Hey, guys, I'm gonna go, are we still on for this afternoon?" he asked, turning back to his buddies, who nodded. She sighed and started to walk away. "What do you want?" she asked her brother when they were out of earshot. "Just to spend some quality time with my little sister" he said, smiling at her. She rolled her eyes but went along with it...

She was jarred out of her thoughts by something outside the window. She looked out to see a fight had broken out in front of her tower. She sighed, knowing she'd have to deal with it but not really wanting to and started to head down the stairs. She found the same peace keeper that she'd bumped into sitting at the bottom of the steps. He looked up when he heard her approach. "You want some help dealing with that?" he asked. She nodded. "Might be a good idea to bring the stun gun" she said, grabbing the weapon off the rack. It was small with a small prong at the end that produced an electrical current that would stun but not seriously hurt people. Together, they headed outside to where the two kids, tributes more than likely, were facing off."What is the meaning of this?" She barked. The two kids froze. She glared at both of them for a moment before slapping both of them across the face. They staggered backwards. "Thats for disrupting the peace" she said, glaring at them. "What she means is, why were you two fighting?" the other peace keeper asked. One of them, a girl of maybe 16, looked at him briefly before looking to the ground in shame. "You are a tribute not a coward, look at him in the eye when you speak" Vicky barked. She girl hastily looked up. "We were just practicing our fighting moves" She replied, glaring at Vicktorya. Vicky returned her glare. "Well, you shouldn't be practicing here, that's what the training center is for." the other peace keeper said. The girl didn't look down but met his gaze steadily. "Yes sir" she said, heading off with her partner in tow. Vicky turned to the other peace keeper. "You handled that very well" she said, meaning every word of it. The guy blushed slightly. "Umm...thanks. Hey, are you doing anything later tonight?" he asked. Vicky shook her head. "Did you maybe want to catch a movie or something?" he asked. Now it was her turn to blush. "Umm...sure." she replied, feeling a little taken aback by his boldness. "Great, I'll pick you up at around 8 ish, is that alright?" he asked. She nodded. He smiled at her and walked away.

As she walked home that night, she thought about the other peace keeper. She didn't even know his name, she realized. Maybe I shouldn't have agreed she thought. No, it's too late to back out now Vicky. You have to do this she told herself. She didn't normally feel butterflies in her stomach but at that moment, they were fluttering wildly. She liked him a lot. Perhaps it could work out for them. He seamed very nice and peaceable, perhaps he was just what she needed to ballence out her nasty side, the bandaid to her wound, the peanut butter to her jelly, etc. As she thought about it, a smile lit up her face, a genuine smile, not a mean smile, and she actually started skipping a little bit, like she had done when she was a little girl.
