Anthem - Day 4

The night is heavy with thunder, rain and the occasional burst of freezing hail. Winds howl throughout the arena, echoing the names of the fallen. Just as you begin thinking about sleep, a harsh, loud sound disturbs the thick, steamy quiet. Your heart drops as you realize what it is: the anthem. Soon the forest green night sky will be alight with the faces of those that have lost their chance to fight. Who is it this time? And is it your turn next?

The melody finishes, and the seal is replaced by the faces of the dead:

You count on your fingers to tally up the dead from the previous day, and the subtraction is simple enough that even your tired brain realizes that there are only fourteen tributes left in the arena including yourself. Thirteen more have to die if you're to make it home.

The music stops and the projection fades, throwing the Arena into darkness once more.
