Age: 17
Gender: Male
District/Area: District 9
Appearance:
Innocent. That is the word that many would describe the boy with upon first meeting him. Most people assume that he might be slightly younger than he is, possibly because of his bad posture and youthful appearance, but he has already hit the bold age of seventeen. Innocence is the appearance that gets him by, however. It's the key word on how you would describe him. His hair, sparkly clean, every single day. His clothes are tight, but fitting.Personality:
Simply looking at him, you know that he is a modest person because of his clothing choice. You have to be a modest person in District Nine, however. Textures and good clothing come scarce. That's why he is usually seen in clothing that resembles something that he would work in. Farm hand clothing, that is. Other clothing he has stashed away in his small home seems to be average, every day clothing, possibly hand me downs from his family.
His body, like many other people from District Nine, is slender and lean simply because of the amount of food passed around in the district. Even though they're the district of grain, they could still be considered poor in so many ways. Because of the food passed around in the district, his skin is often pale and sometimes, during the hard summer months, he often looks like he has shingles on his torso because of his malnutrition.
Personalities are always the most important part about a person, right? He's really no exception to this rule. In fact, he would say that he has a great personality. He's the type of person to try for goodness, despite anyone that he speaks to. Loyalty runs through his veins the same as blood does, quick and thorough, pumping quickly. Being the kind person that he is, he is quick to try and help even the worst of his enemies. Or, well, the people that would consider him an enemy. He personally does not keep enemies simply because he always wants to treat them as nicely as possible.History:
Thanks to how he is, however, he has managed to annoy quite a few people. Some people do not want the general kindness that he has simply because he can be a little too... forward about his attitude. He has to help, and if he can't, well... He'll fell awful about it, even if the person doesn't want any help at all. If that happens, he would probably go behind the person's back to try and help them with what was going on.
Continuing on, he does have a bit of a dark side to him when he wants to display him. It was something that he received from both of his parents, a temper that would eventually rear its ugly head every once in while. Not to others, however. The only person who actually gets to see him so angry is himself. This usually happens when he is tired of being selfless, when he is tired of being this person for everyone and not being the same person to himself as he is to everyone else.
Generally speaking, he's a great guy, even when you don't know him. Always the type of person to show you the side of him that is, indeed, great, but he would never show you his anger, his rage, or his pain. He never talks about his past, nor will he ever mention it even if asked. His fatal flaw would have to be trying much too hard to be nice to others, when it would also help for him to just help himself.
Life in District Nine had admittedly never been easy for a boy like him. Well, no. Life had never been easy for really any District Nine citizen. From an early age, many District Nine citizens, including Lovel himself, had to learn how to use the sharp, banana-shaped blade known as a sickle to cut down stalks of grain. Lovel, many times, had difficulty in cutting stalks of grain like this, though he was practically forced to do it because of the poverty in his district.Codeword: Odair
As a young child, his home life was as well as any other District Nine's: not well at all. His family, like many others, were practically indentured to work. Not indentured exactly, but forced to work constantly for the money that they so desperately needed not to starve. At the age of twelve was when Lovel had to gain experience as a harvester of grain. Armed only with a sickle and taught by his mother, he helped the district's harvest with the little ability that he had. It wasn't much, but he tried and tried and tried. His personality had aided in this.
