Lakie sat down, smiling at Broca as she brushed her hair aside to see. She put both her hands under the table and pricked at her nails nervously. It had been a while that she ate out. Usually, she and her father would eat what was in the fridge or pantry. She couldn't spoil herself though, their money was still very limited. It was a special occasion, nonetheless. She was going to have dinner with a guy that might like her. She liked him back. A lot.
She suddenly became nervous that she would screw something up. As she listened to her heart thud in her head, she bit her tounge. Great. A mute boy and a girl who refuses to speak at times. At least Broca spoke through his board. She didn't feel pity: she didn't believe he wanted that. So she treated him like everyone else.
Except the fact that he might like her.
Lakie stopped trying to think to prevent a headache. Instead, she turned her attention to Broca and forced herself to focus on what was going on now.
