Down by the bank,
Where the river grass grows.
You can see me wandering,
Where ever I go!
Where the river grass grows.
You can see me wandering,
Where ever I go!

Erika Niles was just like another District 3 girl was, well except those who like to dress up. Oh and those who have two parents. That is right, Erika Niles has only her moter to rely on. But, even then she doesn't care for her mother that much. Her father abbandoned her when she was 11 years old and never got over it. But, here she is 16 and still growing.
Erika was outside looking around for her little brother who had ran off with some of his friends. Her mother had told her to go and get him, but she didn't feel like doing it. So, Erika just wondered the street, looking for somebody to talk to. But, nobody caught Erika's eye. But, as soon as she thought that, her little brother appeared.
"Where were you?" Erika scolded her little brother. "I was looking everywhere for you. Next time, you tell me where you are going, you got it?" He nodded his head.
They walked home in peace and quiet. But, once they got home, her mother threw a fit. And t wasn't her normal fit like when they were out a bit too long. Nope, this was a fit they had never seen before.
"James Niles I am so disappointed in you. You shoud not have left your sister without telling her where you went, young man."
"I am sorry, mom. But, TJ just wanted to go out and have fun."
"Fun?"
The conversation continued, but Erika didn't want to be apart of it any longer. She walked up into her room and got out her guitar from under her bed. She had made it when she got bored one day when her mother took James out. She walked out of her room, past her arguing mother and brother, and out into the open. Erika walked right under her big tree that gave her shelter while she sang.
Erika started to play it as she sang along to one of the songs she created.
"Any longer now, and I don't know what I would do without you. Any longer now, I wouldn't know how to hold up myself, without you. You know that you are part of my life now. And I can't lose you, or my life would come crumbling down. You know how much you mean to me, why chance it all? Any longer now, and I don't know what I would do without you. Any longer now, I wouldn't know how to hold up myself without you. Yes, I need you and now you know it. Why would you think of giving up on me?"
Erika strummed the last note before she heard someone clapping. She turned her head and saw her audience.
