Does, Says, Hears, Thinks.

Alex was so not ready to hear that her father wanted her to train harder. She didn't think that she could because of how hard she trained already. She knew that she needed to make her father happy, but she didn't want to. Not today, Alex thought to herself as she stared out her bedroom window and out to the streets of District One. She was bored of training as a career because her father couldn’t be any more helpful. All he wanted to see was Alex grow up to be the person he wished himself to be. But, Alex couldn’t bring herself to do what her father wanted. Not this time, she thought to herself.
The day was so fresh and new that Alex needed to go outside. And so she did. Alex looked around her bedroom one last time and at her closed door to check that the knob was not being opened. She looked back at the closed window and hoisted it up as far as it went. She stuck her head outside, letting her long blonde hair flow out and beyond the windowsill as her dark than sky blue eyes scanned the perimeter of the house. They looked about for her father but saw no sign of him.
She placed her hands on the ledge of her ground level window and pushed herself up. She got her left knee to be rested on the ledge just long enough to fall out her window with a loud thump. As her body hit the ground, her head snapped up, hoping that her father didn't hear anything. After a second or two of stillness, Alex set off for the District One streets.
Once she knew that her father wouldn't know where she was at, she slowed her pace to a walk and smiled at everybody. She nodded when they said hello because everyone knew her. Well, everyone knew her father and therefore knew her. She snuck around a group of people to bump shoulders with someone.
"I am so sorry," Alex said before she looked up at the person she bumped into. “I wasn’t looking at where I was going.” Alex looked at the person and waited their response.
