"There is good and there is evil, but the line between them can be almost impossible to find. In the end, all I really know is that the answers don't come easy. It's supposed to be simple. But it's not."- Robin, Episode Two, Season Three, "X"
Maybe, in another lifetime, they were something greater. Something more admirable. But now? Now they're just six teenagers, trying to find their way through the difficulties of living in a crime infested district and being... different. The loner, the naivete, the cyborg, the freak, and the geek, all trying and failing at passing through life unnoticed. It was pure coincidence that joined them together at the same orphanage, but they hardly know each other. They hardly even care. But there's something that draws this group together, a similarity they haven't yet found, and that is their hatred of all the injustice that occurs in their district. Homes are robbed, people are assaulted, and murders are committed without the Keepers having even the slightest idea as to who the criminals are. At each unsolved case, their aggravation grows. The crime is exploding, the district falling to dark masterminds...
Perhaps the time for heroes has come once more.Go is a plot based on the TV show Teen Titans, which aired between 2003 and 2006. The show was about a group of teenagers with special powers which they used to fight crime in their city and around the world, at times. The Panem replica of this plot will feature all the same characters, but their powers have been replaced with unique traits or abilities. The plot starts without them knowing each other, but after a thread or two they will become the new crime fighting team, delivering justice under the Keeper's noses. There will also, of course, be some possible romance, wonderful angst, suspense, mystery, and of course, the ultimate betrayal. ^^ Applications are below.
Robin // 17 // played by
The strange thing about Robin is that while he was obviously born to be a leader, he's always alone. He doesn't try to make friends and ignores all attempts of inclusion. His parents were killed when he was ten years old, and ever since he has been determined to deliver justice to the murderer. When he was sixteen, Robin attempted to team up with a younger Keeper in order to find the criminal, but eventually realized that the man worked only for himself and determined that he was better off on his own. Despite being treated like a sidekick by the Keeper, Robin is actually quite quick, intelligent, and skilled. He picked up a few fighting skills in his previous partnership and has wasted no time in practicing them.
Starfire // 17 // played by
Starfire is oblivious. There's really no kinder way to put it - there's something obviously wrong with her mind, because the way she acts is always so timidly polite and happy, and she seems to understand little about the world around her, like she's still five years old. She has a rather terrifying love of fire, fireworks, and anything bright or glowing. Often times the caretakers at the orphanage will find her playing around with little sparkler balls or matches, often burning her hands. After they catch her, they always handcuff her as punishment. No one really knows what happened to Starfire's parents - they disappeared when she was just two years old.
Cyborg // 19 // played by
Cyborg, much like Robin, is a bit of a loner. Everyone knows he used to be a big, strong, almost Career like person with a lot of potential as a Peacekeeper. Unfortunately, all that promise vanished when he lost an arm and a leg in the same explosion that killed his parents. He barely survived himself, and was given the very best prosthetics so the Capitol didn't have to pay the compensation for two deaths. Ever since, he's given up on sports and has become a bit obsessed with technology, often attempted to update or enhance his prosthetics even further. He's great with tools and loves building things.
Raven // 17 // played by
Raven... well, Raven's a bit different. Her parents were both big in the criminal world, and when she was little her father always said she was destined to be just like him. That was before her mother was murdered by one of his enemies - after that, he vanished, leaving a very dark and confused girl to begin her life at the orphanage at the age of nine. She finds she has a horrible problem with controlling her emotions, and often meditates or shows no emotion at all in order to avoid the explosions that would come otherwise. She's viewed as a particularly dark person with a knack for scaring others and a great love of books.
Beast Boy // 16 // played by Stare
Young and enthusiastic, Beast Boy was left at the orphanage when he was just a year old - too young to remember his parents or miss them. Sometimes it seems he's the only positive attitude in the entire orphanage, with a passion for pranks and bad jokes. He's a fun guy who will do anything just to try it, and has the very strange ability to train any animal with an incredible amount of ease. He likes to think he's good with the ladies, and although he isn't the smartest person in the world, he's constantly striving to impress and be noticed by others.
Terra // 16 // played by
Terra, unlike the other Titans, is in fact a wanderer. She's never visited their orphanage or even met them. No, Terra's story has a very different beginning. A rebellious girl with a fun loving attitude, she lost her parents to a landslide when she was fourteen years old. She's always been rather strong, easily throwing heavy objects far distances. She has trouble controlling herself sometimes, though - her muscles often spasm at random times for reasons she can't figure out. It's a condition she's had to live with an entire life, and it haunts her. To have no control over her own body? The thought alone is terrifying. WARNING: Terra does not enter the plot until later in. Whoever plays her can of course thread with her to keep her busy in the meantime. ^^
Slade // 26 // played by
Slade is the lord of District Nine's scum, a cruel man who has worked hard his entire life to claw his way to the top. Extremely intelligent and controlling, he's nothing short of an evil mastermind. He's stolen, assaulted, and even killed to get what he wants. People don't get in his way without getting hurt. He's always willing to switch sides, however, for revenge - everyone must learn their lesson, he will tell whoever will listen. Perhaps the controlling part of him comes from watching his entire family of five being killed in a fire when he was nineteen, and being unable to do anything about it. It was his fault, a bad deal made on the wrong side of town. He's never forgotten it.[size=1][blockquote]Name:
