As promised, here is the information for the 3rd of a series of plots that I'm running that are somewhat based on the amazingness that is Game Of Thrones. :3
For the benefit of those who have not advanced as far in the series as others, i request that you attempt to keep spolierish references out of your bios; try not to reference anything that has not yet been covered by the HBO series. As well, you needn't be a fan on the series to be involved, this is after all, a Hunger Games RP. I plan to run this in tandem with the other two.
Application rules are about the same as the Wolfe & Lyon Plots.
NOTE: As This is a rather large plot, and d10 is a rather large district, I'd prefer characters that already exist to completely new bios.
Also, Some of these threads which involve fights may take place in the Battlefield, where there is a chance for broken or severed limbs.
Info:
In the heartland of district ten, there are two secret factions that are constantly at odds. One group protects. The other destroys. The peacekeepers have yet to take notice of these activities, but be warned, they may take an interest in the future.
The Watch
These mostly young men have taken it upon themselves to patrol the area of the district in which the majority of the poorer ranches reside. The more down on their luck citizens do not merit much attention when they complain about the various ills that plague them, and so, turn to the dark clothed members of the Watch. These impromptu vigilantes defend the ranches from those self styled cattle rustlers that are every trying to improve their lot in life through various illegal means. They joined together for several reasons, each their own and each as varied as the members themselves. The members of the Watch do not have any special skills, nor anything that truly ties them together other than their sense of duty and honor. This has caused the occasional argument, especially as some of them feel that their talents might be more useful on the other side...
The Wildings
Feared. Hated. Despised. Identities unknown to most as they were fearsome masks when they raid for supplies. Though most accuse them of being a band of wandering vagrants from multiple districts, The Watch suspects them to be members of district ten that have grown tired of not getting their dues, and have begun to take it out on everyone else. They are a mystery... but they might be closer than you think. Their crimes go well beyond simple cattle rustling, there is also blackmail, gambling, theft, arson and property damage. Simply no murder. Yet.
The Watch came into existence after the Bear, tired of the crimes being perpetrated under the pk's noses, roused a group of people together during a late night in a bar named The Bloody Bucket.
The Characters of the Watch
The BearPlayed by Mace Emberstatt (Kay)
An imposing figure in spite of young/old age, most of the other fellows hold him in great esteem. With broad-shoulders and a stern gaze He is a considered a strong, resolute leader, a formidable battle commander and is also fearless in the face of adversity. If young, it is thought that this character would make a very good Peacekeeper. If old, then the character couldbe a retired PK or a disgruntled older member of society. Has a pet raven that is used to send messages, as well as leading the group on their activities. {Lord Mormont)The BlacksmithPlayed by Kirk Marshall (Charade)
A stalwart sometimes pretentious member of the group, the Blacksmith has an optimistic outlook on life, some would say to the point of being naive. But all agree, they'd like him and his hammer on their side whenever a fight begins. In charge of repairing the fences that the gang breaks. (Donal Noyle)The JovialPlayed By Essence (Danny)
This one is fond of music and songs, prefers books over weapons and soft fabrics overriding gear. Also a coward afraid of blood and violence. Although fat, timid, and unsure is intelligent and thoughtful. Is the one that is expected to keep their barn headquarters in working order, as well as making sure the peacekeepers are not clued in to what is going on. (Samwell Tarly)
The Dolorous
In contrast to the infallible optimism of Kirk the blacksmith, The Dolorous is the eternal sarcastic pessimist, convinced that everyone on both sides are going to wind up in adjacent cells in the Detention Center. Despite this bleak outlook on life, they choose to help in any capacity that they can complaining all the while. Usually the lookout, constantly put out of patrol, which they take to mean the others are trying to get them killed. (Dolorous Edd Tollet)
The Runt
Arguably the youngest member of the vigilantes, is more of a tag a long than an actual member, is good friends with the dim and has gotten the pair into trouble more than once. (Pip)
The Dim
This one really does want to help, but having a low I.Q. coupled with a strong body is not very helpful when a group is trying to keep its doings a secret. Helpful and loyal, this one in nevertheless their own worst enemy. (Grenn)The Wild Gang
The Charismatic Leader
He has a sharp face and shrewd brown eyes. An unremarkable-looking man in his middle years, with a fondness for music. Much like the bear, has grown weary of the inattentiveness of the Government to the poorer districts. But has decided to make a statement about it through various criminal means. (Mance Rayder)
The Mighty
Extremely tall and strong to boot, the mighty is the muscle of the gang, always clad in thick furs to conceal his identity, and capable of breaking a steers leg with his bare hands. The epitome of Mr. Tall, silent and brooding. (Mag)The Animal Cruelty ExpertPlayed by Nicholas Levitt (Snakebird)
An officer, if it possible to say so, of the wildings, Sometimes called the Bonemaster because of his funny hobby to take the bones of the animals he kills, to make with them his personal equipment. His clothes are fashioned with the bones of animals he has eaten, and when raiding, wears a grotesque horse skull as a helmet. (Rattleshirt)
The Dogshead
Enemies with the animal cruelty expert, she used to be employed in a butcher shop, but at a young age suffered several events that robbed her of her compassion and her general goodwill. Can't stand people, with the exception of the Leader, sticks close by him. Her only friends are her two pet dogs.
The Womanizer
A cruel and ruthless man. Rich, considering Wildlings standards, Has made a deal with Night’s Watch: when the Watchers would be near his house and in troubles, Craster will welcome them, offering food, funding and hospitality in exchange for amnesty from the Watch's justice. A hound dog, and constantly trolling around for unwary naive young women to seduce with his charm or his wallet. (Craster)The RecruitPlayed by Adele Perdue (Elegant)
A wildling girl and one of the youngest. She is considered a strong willed young woman among her gang. Not to be messed with, this one tries to take care of her family, and though she has no great joy for carrying out these crimes, she simply does what she must. A Realist. (Ygritte)
