Lily Sparrow: District 12

Lily can be described as a young Irish girl with bright orange wavy hair with sea green eyes. She has pale skin and a substantial amount of freckles, which of course, is very unusual considering her district, but is explained by her Irish background. Due to this, she is very prone to sunburn.

Just like any sixteen year old girl, she despises the way she looks when she is really quite pretty. In her eyes, her skin is too pale, her arms are too long and she has too many freckles.

Her hair is long, wavy and thick and she usually wears it in a fish tail braid to keep it out of her eyes
She's around 5'6" in height and around 65kg so she isn't too skinny, but she isn't a large girl either, she's medium build. She generally opts for a tomboy style with simply comfortable clothing and the boots her father made for her before he died.

When she was younger, her father taught her to hint so she carries herself quite lightly and can move through a Forrest without being heard. However, she isn't very fast which is a big weakness for her, however she does have long arms and legs so she can climb trees with ease.

When she initially meets people, she is shy and doesn't usually trust them right away. She's very smart. In her spare time, she enjoys reading or writing (her family only have a few books because they live in the seam.) She has read those books thousands of times.

She's a day dreamer, in her free time, she goes to the fence, by the edge of the seam and tries to imagine the world on the other side. She's kind hearted, but once her trust is broken, its hard to regain and she can hold a grudge.

At school,she's very quiet and doesn't have many friends. This isn't because she's unpopular or unlikeable, she just keeps to herself.

She despises the capitol because when she was younger, her father was killed by the peace keepers for illegal hunting.

She's very family oriented and the mean the world to her. She would do anything for them.

Before she was born, her mother and father tried to move to district one for a better life. Of course they were caught, but the Capitol were nice enough to let then stay until Lily was born.

Her parents received harsh treatment for their illegal actions and whilst they were recovering, Lily lived with her Aunty who took care of her for a year until Lily's parents recovered.

Lily has a younger sister who has a disability which forces her mother to be a stay at home mother and her father used to provide for the family. He would do this by working in the mines and by hunting when food and money were low. When lily turned six, he began to teach her to hunt. When she was thirteen, she and her father were out hunting one afternoon when they were caught by peacekeepers and they executed him for illegal hunting.

After her fathers death, she took over the role as provider for the family which she accomplished by pickpocketing, looking in shop bins, and so on. She used to hunt but laws have since tightened.
