Gala Thomas (D2)

Identical. Blonde hair framing there baby-faces, with spotted freckles underneath their piercing blue eyes. They always have looked exactly the same. Being the lightest of the family, it was always impossible for the two to get a tan, having pale skin year round. Ever since birth they stayed on the tiny side, very close to being the shortest in the family, their younger sister almost reaching them. Everything about them always seemed innocent and tiny, because of that they were often treated younger then they were, making both the twins having something to prove.

Gala in particular had a lot of strength, unlike her twin Gwen. Often support them both as they flipped through the air, one would thing Gala would have more muscles to show for it. With their identical looks being enough, they only matched on rare occasions like events and performances. Gala was the tom-boy of the two, often wearing pants and a shirt unless forced into something nice.

Being a twin, it's difficult to be your own person. Especially when your twin is the smart one. Gala has a very free-willed personality, and unable to compare to her sister's knowledge, often left on the troubled side. It wasn't her fault Gwen received all the brains, leaving Gala in always the mind frame of needing to prove herself. That doesn't mean she takes into consideration what other's think, having authority issues from the start. Her mother was the only adult she listened to, which often left her father getting upset at her.

Everything changed when the sisters all truly became parentless, their parents never really being there from the beginning. With no head of household, Gala always believed that she was the leader, even being the second youngest. This mind frame constantly left Gala in trouble, and for her sisters to save her. It was times like those she did listen her older sisters, she knew when they were being serious.

Except for her sisters, everyone else meant nothing to Gala, who often labeled them as something from the beginning and sticking to it. Everyone outside of the family were not to be trusted, everyone else became simply Gala's audience and that's all. When the circus began, Gala learned of her strength. Able to hold her sister and herself up in mid air. The twins had their distinct difference, but to the crowd they were only identical twins.

It was common for twins to be premature, but not usually by two months. After a long struggle of labor, and a breathe taking moment that the babies, the mother, or all three had the chance to die, the twin girls were born. Blonde hair and blue eyes made them the lightest in the family. Sadly their mother wasn't given much time to care for the tiny new borns, until having to put the two in the care of their older sisters, to return to her long hour-consuming job. Maybe the lack of mother-nurture was the reason the two never overcame their small figures, coming close to being the shortest of the family, one more baby girl being born a year later that always stood barley half an inch under them.

Everything was decent for a while. The twins lived a good life with their six other sisters, though there parents were gone often. With their father being constantly gone at work only returning for some weekends, and mother keeping long hours, money was never an issue. Their lack of parenting was the cause of Gala forming such an authority problem, often getting in trouble with any adult telling her what to do. Father didn't like hearing so many complaints from school, and often was found yelling at Gala, who stood her ground like the smartalec she was.

That was why Gala was the only one who was glad when father left. She hated him, and now she had the chance to be head of the house, even at a young age. It wasn't until she realized mother was growing depressed, she wished she could take it back. Then when the twins had recently turned eight, mother went missing. Gwen was sure mother was watching all the girls though, and never doubting her twin, Gala believed the same. But with no income coming in, the sisters had to think of something to do.

That's when they started the circus. What better choice then to make the two trapeze twins. With such small bodies, and a strong connection, it was easy for the twins to fly through the air. With Gwen being the brains, and Gala having strength, it was easy for Gala to follow Gwen's instructions and keep them both afloat through the air. Now at the age of thirteen they amaze the crowds with all their tricks and flips on tiny bars and ropes. Heart stopping, just like their birth. With no safety under neath them, the audience was always left on the edge of their seats by the trapeze twins.
