Name: Gwen Thomas
Age:
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 2
Appearance:
There's two of them? I thought I was seeing double. The reaction the twins often got, simply because there was nothing about them that made them look different. Gwen hated being called Gala, and the other way around. Blonde hair shaped both of their baby-faces, with freckles spotting underneath their blue eyes. The lightest in the family, staying pale year round when their sister's would turn tan.
With an innocent baby look, and tiny frame the twins were close to being the shortest. Any day their younger sister would grow that half an inch, and the twin's will sadly stand as the shortest. At least Gala was strong. Gwen was stuck with only brains, leaving her almost helpless. Luckily the twins were never apart, and created the perfect team.
Personality:
Often complimented for her knowledge, Gwen was practically the smartest in her family. This held a lot of privileges, and problems. Gwen had reached the point she could no longer tell who was her friend, and who were only using her for her brain. Though more shy then her twin, she still held a bigger social life, or so she believed. It seemed other kids had more interest is Gwen, until she realized it was only because of her brain. Making Gwen as much of an outcast as her twin Gala.
That didn't matter though, Gwen had her sisters. With Gala being a trouble maker, and the two never leaving each other's side, they were often put in a troubling spot. Luckily their sisters were always there to save them. Gwen could never figure out if her sisters loved her as much as she loved them, though she knew her twin understood. Her family was the only thing that Gwen could trust, only willing to use her brain to help them.
With both the twins having the constant urge for adventure, at a very early age Gwen knew her way around. It became a game for the twins to see what kind of trouble they could get away with, being invisible. With being pale and tiny, it was easy for the two to go unrecognized, the practice building Gwen to the point she could get anyone, anywhere. The city was her maze, and with a twin that wasn't as smart, it was up to Gwen to memorize the map. Instincts constantly controlled all of Gwen's moves.
History:
Everyday the mother of the household would randomly ask Gwen a trivia question to test her knowledge. This was the only connection forming between them, but it made Gwen feel special. She was mommy's little genius. Though Gwen was never given the opportunity to get to know her mother as much as her older siblings did, they shared a connection. Maybe it was the feeling when the twins were born, and their was a chance for the babies and their mother to all die.
Everything began spiraling once father left, only returning on the weekends being too much for him to handle. Mother grew depressed, and not even Gwen could cheer her up. Often simply sitting next to her as she wept in silence, with a straight face and no tears. Mother never formed tears, but Gwen knew she was crying. Just like how Gwen knew mother wasn't gone, when everyone said she was. "Mother's watching us." Was Gwen's only reasoning.
With no parents, selling things around the house for income quickly became not enough. So everyone came up with the idea of forming a circus, it was perfect. Everyone showed to have their own special talents. The twins becoming a trapeze team. With Gala's strength, and Gwen's knowledge they made the perfect pair. Gwen was able to choreograph there routines of tricks and flips through the air, while Gwen had the strength to keep them from falling. With no safety underneath, they loved keeping the audience on the edge. After all what good is the rest of the world if they weren't their audience.
