[glow=red,300,300]Rain pounded [/glow]against her head like a drum. Her freckle-sprinkled face was stained with water, and she pulled her hood down over her blue-green eyes. She held a bag of medicine and food in her hand, and the rain was soaking through it. The food would be ruined by the time Scarlemma returned home. Losing her mother would be devastating.
Glancing around, Scar tried not to let the wind blow her hood off. Thunder roared in the distance, and lightning flickered. She needed to find shelter before she got electrocuted. Scarlemma then realized where she was, and spotted a small shed just off of the dirt roads. She would stay here until the storm passed, and then she could make it back to the heart of the district.
Scarlemma opened the door, coughing because of the dusty air that wreathed around her neck. Ducking into the shed, she started rummaging through the dirt for something to light the shed. The wind howled in her ears, and Scar couldn't think straight. Should she leave the door open? No, that was stupid. There were no candles in the shed, and there were no windows to let in the faint gray glow from outside.
]Oh well, I'll just have to deal with it, Scarlemma sighed, pulling the door closed. Silence filled the shed, and Scar knew that even a deaf person could hear a feather drop in here. The silence was frightening, believe it or not, and Scarlemma gulped. What if there was something lurking behind her, or even right below her nose?
ooc; I'd like it if someone walks in and finds her, then invites her inside. You can plan the rest if you want to
