Mason Redwood

Hot sun baked Mason as he started his early morning routine. It wasn't even 8 yet and already the sun was bloody hot. He felt sweat drip down his forehead as he pushed his body. Once he was finished his routine, he went for a shower and got changed into some normal clothes. As he was walking out of the changeroom, he saw her. A girl a few years younger than him but she was hot. He smiled his most charming smiles at her and winked. "Hey," He said, looking her up and down.

Mary sat outside the locker room waiting on Victoria to finish all of her Career business. Sometimes she felt bad for Victoria. She seems to love the training and all, but Mary knew that her parents really pushed it on her. However, Mary was gald that it wasn't her training for death. Although she lived in District 2, historically a strong district in the Games, she was almost certain she would die. The Games scared her. Mary was trying her best to clear her mind of the brutality of the Games when an extremely attractive guy (probably also a Career) came walking out of the locker room opposite of Victoria. He shot her a smile and said hey. "Uhh.. Hey." , Mary said, sort of stumbling over her words. "I'm Mary, what's your name?"[/i]

"I'm Mason, its nice to meet you" He said, grinning. "are you waiting for someone?" He asked the girl who was obviously kind of embarressed because she was stumbling over her words. He sometimes had that effect on girls. He smiled charmingly. "I can wait with you if you want" He offered, feeling like being a gentleman.

"I can wait with you if you want" , he offered. He had that look in his eye. Mary was definitely used to getting hit on by older guys. Hell, she looked sixteen. But she wasn't, which definitely crossed Mason off of the proverbial list. Better let Victoria have this one. "Yeah, actually. I am. I don't know if you know her. Victoria Jones? She's a Career that trains here at this gym. Also my best friend. Sister. Whatever you want to call it." , she said. "Honestly, I'm not sure what's taking her so long. She usually doesn't stay this long."

"So, are you a Career too?" He certainly looked like one. Victoria would probably like him. Even though it wouldn't go anywhere. It never did. She was afraid of commitment. And apparently she was afraid of being on time as well, as Mary looked at her watch rather impatiently.[/i]

"so are you a career too?" the girl asked. He nodded. Just then, a girl he assumed was her friend walked out of the change room. She was hot too. "Hey, your friend here's been waiting for you" He said, winking at her and smiling. He had seen her a few times before in training and she was definitely not someone he wanted to spar with but she was definitely hot. "I'm Mason, by the way" He said, looking at the newcomer.

Victoria Jones[/i][/color]

Victoria was in a great mood. She never got tired of being at the top. Although she has to work her ass off for it, it never gets boring being smarter and faster then neraly everyone in District 2, which probably meant everyone in the nation. Today was the normal day. Sparring, and a whole lot of running. She actually had to be pulled off of the girl she was sparring today. Victoria knew she wouldn't hurt her, even though she doubted that she would care if she did. Establishing dominance is always key. But I guess it was time to meet Mary. As a matter of fact, she was almost twenty minutes late. Oh crap.. Mary's not gonna be happy with me. I'm the last one out again.. Time to go. , she said, slipping her last shoe on and hustling out of the door.

Victoria walked out into the sun. It was a little hot today, but she didn't mind, considering District 2's summers we're usually mild anyway. However, she was suprised to see Mary sitting with Mason Redwood. They didn't really seem like compatible personalities, let alone compatible ages. So she jogged up to them to see what was up. "My God, Mary, I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry I always take forever." She tried her best to seem genuinely upset. She didn't really care that Mary was out here. It's not like Mary or herself had anything else to do. Around that time Mason introduced himself, although she already knew him. He was another Career, a pretty good one, although she had never spoken with him. He actually may be a Victor one day, so long as he wasn't reaped the same time she was.

"I'm Mason, by the way." , he said while looking Victoria right in the eyes. She wasn't charmed one bit. Although Victoria must admit, he was handsome. "Hey Mason! How are you?" , she said with a huge smile, like she did everyone, no matter how well she knew them. At that moment she began to wonder. Mason could further her, she knew it. Besides, showmances were totally her thing. That was definitely a thought she would keep at the back of her mind.

"Mason, would you like to come eat with Mary and I? I mean, I went pretty hard in the gym today, I'm absolutely starving."[/i][/size]

He smiled at the new arrival. "Nice to meet you Victoria, I would love to join you guys for a bite, I'm hungry too" He said, smiling his charming smile. He followed the two girls out into the warm sunlight. "Where shall we eat, because I know a really great place down the street from here, if you guys want to try it." He said. He liked the attention he was getting from the two girls. He was always up for flirting with girls, especially ones that were at the top of the class at the training center. He led them to his favorite diner and sat down at a booth in a the corner. There waitress came along to take there drink orders and Mason ordered a pop. "What'll you girls have, its on me?" He said, winking at Victoria.

ooc:Okay, I'm kind of a beginner-medium RPer just so you know, some of my posts may be longer than others depending on if I can find inspiration.

"What'll you girls have, it's on me.", Mason said as he winked at me. He thinks he's got it. Perfect. He doesn't realize he's met the star player of the game he's trying to play. And that's okay. He'll figure it out eventually.

Victoria was very pleased with the little cornerstop that Mason took her and Mary to. She could tell Mary was pleased as well. She had actually eaten here a couple of times with an old friend. God, she really missed him. But he is definitely a thing of the past. The only thing that matters is her training. And as of now, deciding on some food. "Uhm.. okay. I'll have a number 11, no mayo. And water to drink. She will have a number 18, also with water. , she said, pointing at Mary, who was obviously zoned out staring out the window. She leaned in to the waitress' ear to tell her something without Mason hearing. "He's probably gonna try and pay for my food. Don't let him." She looked back at Mason. "So, Mason.. are you gonna be our volunteer this year?"

"So, Mason, are you gonna be our volunteer this year?" Her question didn't surprise him. "I think so, I've been training for this my whole life so I don't see why not" He said, smiling and feeling proud of the fact that he was a career. "What about you?" He asked her, hoping secretly that she would say no so that he wouldn't have to fight her if he did go into the arena. I don't want to fight her probably because she's the top of the class and I'd get my ass killed. he thought to himself. Plus, she's too pretty to hurt he thought, looking at her body. She was hot, he would admit that, and he didn't ever want to have to go up against her in the arena or the sparring ring. He waited for a few moments before remembering that the waitress was still waiting for his order. "Oh, sorry, I'll get the number 12 with just my pop, thanks" He said with a slight flush of embaressment. He turned his attention back to Victoria who was watching him. He sat patiently as he waited for her answer which she was still thinking about.

"Hell no. Not now. Besides, I'm an awful Career anyway. I'm not trying to die, ya know.." She loved downplaying herself just to receive compliments from others. Truth be told, she had a decent chance at victory now. But she knew that her skills would only become more refined with age, and she knew that unless she was reaped, she would be in the 64th Games. Not any of the others."Hey, I'm pretty sure that's our food coming." , Mary said, pointing in the direction of a waitress on the way with 3 big plates of food. "Man, I forgot how hungry I was! So, just out of curiosity, Mason.. Who is your favorite victor? Like, who do you think you would try to play like?" Victoria wasn't dumb. She knew that there was an extremely small chance that she could be playing the Games with Mason. And in Panem, it seems like the odds are never in anyone's favor. And after all, you have to be in the zone 24 hours a day to be successful. And she wanted information.

"You'd have a pretty good shot at winning, I know I wouldn't want to go up against you" He said. "I don't know what my strategy would be to be perfectly honest. I'd probably be pretty brutal though" He said thoughtfully. Just then their food came and he tasted some of his food. It was excellent like always. He smiled charmingly at Victoria.

What do you think about going and auditioning for Julian Bryze's new gym. I mean, it's probably better than the one we are training at now. I'm going to audition, and I really want you and Mary to join me. I'd really like for us to be a Career team." The idea may seem a bit folly, she thought. However, she's never really trained with friends before, so it might be a great experience..[/size]
