_{Kate has always been the unnoticed girl. Mistaken for a mute. Kate is really not mute, but a burning fire that dares to escape. With her long silky black locks pulled up into a pony tail, she fingered the knives in the training center. Her delicate, pale hands laced around a small, deadly looking throwing knife. She gently picked it up as if it were a rare jewel. She tossed it in her hands for a moment before randomly turning and throwing it at the target. It hit square in the chest. Her eyes skidded around the room searching for a worthy opponent.

Plot: It can go anyway you like. If you want a romance to blossom, that can happen.}

Another day at the training center. The familiar smells of sweat, pain, and desperation fills my nostrils as I enter the familiar area my brother and I had come to since we were little. Only this time I was alone. My brother figured he'd skip a day of training and help out around our mother's shop. I scan the training center to see who will be joining me in my preparation for the games, today.

Not that many people here...[/color][/size]

Shrugging, I head over toward the girls locker room to drop off my gym bag full of my spare clothes, before I notice the knife hit the dummy closest to me in the chest. The initial shock makes me jump and pause for a minute. Where had that come from?I follow the invisible path that the knife had carved through the air to the owner of that knife; A girl with brown hair tied back into a pony tail. I smile at her."Nice throw," I call out to her from my position. Crossing over to the dummy, I pry the knife from it's chest. I study it for a minute, twirling it in my hands.

Probably best to make friends, not enemies...

Walking over to the girl, I deliver her knife."I believe this belongs to you?" Grinning, I let out a playful chuckle.

The girl takes the knife from my hands. She doesn't look like much. Kind of pail and lanky. Like a tormented tree, that has been covered in the winter snow. She turns toward me. "Thanks," She says in a soft voice. I look into her grayish-blue eyes.

Where did she learn to throw like that...

"No problem," I say with a bright smile on my face. Extending my hand I introduce myself. "I'm Marley, but people call me 'Mar'. And you are?"

Maybe I can learn something from this girl...[/color]

I bounced the knife from palm to palm, as if it was nothing. The sharp item was cold in my hand. I took one more look at Marley before throwing the knife for a second time. It hit the dummy right where the heart ought to be on a human. My pink colored lips curled into a smile.}
