Kjolver Skala (District 4) (WIP)

He stands an almost-menacing height of just under six foot and strikes a lean-muscled figure, which he has maintained mostly for the intimidation factor. He has broad shoulders, a trim waist, and well-toned arms, thanks in part to several years of working as well as training for the Games. His eyes are almost ominously dark brown and his hair is well-styled and ranges in shade from dark brown to black. Clothing requires careful thinking; Kjolver always dresses with as much elegance and taste that he’s able to obtain. Most of his accents and accessories are various shades of greens and grays, and he has a preference for sleeveless shirts (weather permitting, of course).

Kjolver has always considered himself to be on the better-side of average looking. He has no trouble blending into the crowd, unless he makes a true effort to stand out. He has no problem attracting members of the opposite sex and has no qualms about pursuing them, either. Despite the pleasure that normally comes from being fawned over, Kjolver rarely has a smile on his face. He always seems to look more contemplative or apathetic, which is much closer to his actual personality.

Kjolver is ambitious in the most primitive sense of the word and has far too many cunning wiles for his own good. He is fearless to the front porch of abandon and not at all afraid to do anything it takes to get ahead in life. He thoroughly believes in survival of the fittest, but when you’re perfect what do you have to worry about? Kjolver takes great pride in keeping control and composure. He never rushes and his temper is always reasonable. He is not the friendliest of people, and is actually quite wary of everyone. However, when he does pledge his allegiance to something or someone, then it is lasting and his word is good.

Temporary failure is not humiliating for him and is instead seen as a temporary setback in pursuit of a goal. He’s good at being discreet, secretive, and diplomatic; his diplomacy is based on the knowledge that being on good terms with people is extremely useful in getting one’s way or finding out sensitive information. Because Kjolver is intelligent and has taught himself how to read people, he understands almost everyone around him; and, because he is so quiet and unassuming, nobody really ever notices that he’s there. Kjolver is, of course, aware of this and has learned how to use it to his advantage.

While Kjolver might not be the most outgoing of his class, his is definitely among the wisest. His canny observation and lightning-fast analysis of most situations is likely to take him far. Behind his quiet mien hides the mind of a big dreamer, who has both the imagination to come up with a concept and the power to follow it through. Kjolver is an interesting mix of politeness and politics, pragmatism and intuition. He is very often underestimated. This is most unwise.
