Selena is possibly one of the least intimidating people you will ever meet. Short, slender, spectacles, you name it, she has everything that would suggest she's not a physically imposing individual. Standing at four foot five, and likely not getting much taller, weighing at a slight thirty kilo's, diminutive is one word to describe her. As is tiny. And miniscule. She prefers the term petite.

Not only is she physically laughable, but she's also, shamelessly so, a complete geek. Her hair, ginger of hue, is usually kept in a tight bun, coupled with the glasses obscuring what would otherwise be startlingly green eyes, presents the image of a complete lack of self-confidence, and the predilection for the more intellectual pursuits. She's even pale and freckly. Her dress sense, being confined to ill-fitting blouses, lab-coats while working, and very modest skirts and baggy trousers, as well as immaculately polished shoes complete this image.

Believe it or not, she does dress up pretty nicely. On Reaping day, she's almost unrecognisable. While obviously not a stunning beauty, especially when compared to the females of One, Two or Four, she has an ethereal, subtle, mesmeric air to her, more akin to a sunset than the roaring blaze of the Careers that invariably are picked from the other districts

Personality:

Strong. Independent. Stubborn. Phenomenally intelligent. This is what defines Selena. In terms of her raw mental ability, she outstrips almost all of her age, and many older than her. And boy does she know it. She has a superior attitude to pretty much everyone because of this, and is generally scornful of anyone remotely ignorant.
