mutantaday.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/ray-stevenson-2.jpg?w=640Personality:
Primus stands 6'4" tall, weighing a healthy 185lbs and being very fit and muscular for many reasons. He has the muscles that only a dedicated bodybuilder could possess, and the scarred face that belongs to a man of War and Pain. There isn't much to say about his facial appearance, because he isn't much of a looker. But some find him decently attractive, so he isn't 'Ugly'. Though he had a deep scar on the left side of his face from what seems to be from a sword's cut.
His face is wrinkled more than most his age, and it is almost as if his head belongs to a different body compared to how toned and powerful his own actual body is, due to how much more he has focused on working out and staying fit rather than looking pretty. The least he does is dye his hair to hide her early-blooming grey hairs, and he is indifferent about facial hair depending on the upcoming occasion(s), some days he may have a full beard, other days he may be clean-shaved, he never has a mustache or anything along those lines.
Primus was once a very outgoing and careless person, living too much as a human rather than living life to the fullest. He had friends, but only ones that were deep-down just like him; Selfish. The best word to describe Primus, until he was reaped for the 42nd Annual Hunger Games, and won. He had later returned and decided to practically start over, having a whole new attitude about himself.History:
Primus has since learned to appreciate the little things in life, living each day as if it was his last and being the opposite of his old self; he was selfless. He was kind, and sincere. There was still times he was angered or upset, so he didn't suddenly become a saint. But the things he once took for granted, he had relayed by showing his gratitude. And before long he had brought his mind to be peace with the world he lived in.
Primus' more interesting and socializing quirks are when he is being comical or at least worth being around. He can strike up a conversation about nearly anything, which is a remarkable talent for someone like him. And for being a Victor to The Games, he seems more down to earth. As if his victory actually moralized him and caused him to love life and live in the now, which was also rare.
Primus is the oldest of 3 children. His parents were honest and hardworking laborers in District 2 throughout his childhood. He has no brothers, only younger sisters. He is 4 years older than the middle child, and 6 years older than the youngest. But despite his role as the oldest, he wasn't very good at setting an example. He was a troublemaker, and the consequences of his actions were never enough to make him change his ways, so he just got worse.Codeword: oDair
The people he called his friends were actually just degenerates like him who just saw the strength in numbers, of how much more mischief they could get into and accomplish by grouping together to cause more problems for people. Their crimes were never severe enough to ensue punishment to a high degree, except for a few times that they were caught vandalizing personal property and had to undo their wrongful actions and repair whatever they had broken, but Primus was never caught so he figured he was better than the rest.
Then came when he was 15 years old, and he was at the 42nd Annual Reaping to The Hunger Games, the televised slaughter in the yearly random Arena. The female whom was reaped he did not recall, but there was a girl around his age that volunteered to take the other's place. Though when it came time for the name of the boy, Primus heard his own called. All he could think at the time, was that this must be unintentional punishment for all the wrongs he had done in the past, but maybe he could get lucky and someone would take his place, though even after taking his place on the stage before all others, no one did. Which for the time being he held a personal grudge on all who were more qualified and let him go.
Fast-forwarding passed the Capitol Arrival and Chariot Ride which was rather boring as opposed the the other years where at least someone's costumes stood out well. But then comes the Training Center, where Primus had personal time to spend with his fellow associates which were known as the Career Tributes.
The boy from District 1 was 18-years-old, and was named Sterling. He was skilled with nearly anything he could use as a weapon, and he was strong. The girl from District 1 was 15-years-old and was named Syngular, and she was fast, but not very skilled with weapons. The girl from District 2, the one he saw volunteer, was actually 17-years-old and her name was Alexia. She was probably just as skilled as Sterling, but she proved more skill with swords for the swiftness. The District 4 Career Tributes didn't spend much time around the rest, but they were still capable fighters and had agreed to join the usual alliance.
The last one down was Primus himself. He had never really trained purposely, but his stealth was enough to buy his safety amongst the Careers. He was fast, the fastest of all of them all" he even beat Syngular in a 60-yard dash from point A to B and back to A, having maintained at least 10 yards ahead of heard at all times even at the start. His camoflauge wasn't the best, but his stamina was increasingly high. He could not only run faster than the others, but he could run for much longer as well.
So then throughout their training time, Primus had learnt some decent swordsmanship skills and was taught how to start a fire by 6 different simple means, which could be useful though at the time he didn't think so. And then came the final day of training, when each got some alone time in front of the Gamemakers, and could show off their skills to gain their Training Scores. Sterling received an 11, Syngular received a 7, Alexia received a 9, and for Primus' demonstration of skills he had shown his speed, which earned him a solid 9. The District 4 Tributes both scored 9's. None of the other Tributes had a decent score, the highest among the Non-Careers was the boy from District 10 who still only received an 8.
So then came the Interviews, where the Careers made a lasting impression on the crowd, even Primus had managed to get the people roaring in cheers and cries of joy by expressing his thoughts on The Capitol, which were all positive comments. Either way, The Careers in general were at least guaranteed some sponsors.
Finally it was time, The Hunger Games were only a countdown of 60 seconds away from being underway, and the Cornucopia glazed bright from the shine of the hot sun over a vast dessert with sandy mountains and dried up plants, this was not the average Arena, and the would take a toll on the Tributes. The items lining the mouth of the Cornucopia were the essentials, but they were stacked in a massive circle in a pyramid-form. At the top was something either golden or silver, but the brightness of the sun foreboded it's appearance, but it caught everyone's eyes, even Primus'.
So the countdown ended, and all 24 Tributes made their moves, all seemed to be headed for the Pyramid of supplies, Primus was there faster than most, but before he could make it up to the top to claim the shiny item he was pulled back by Sterling, which saved him from being sliced across the back by the District 6 girl who had obtained an axe. But from the hard fall, Primus was dazed, barely straggling up back to his feet, but he was told to run due to his inability to fight but his usefulness to the other Careers, so he did, he managed to run as far as he could, distancing himself a good 100 yards away from the Cornucopia until he heard Cannon fire begin to blast throughout the large valley which they had begun in. Before a second could fire, the previous had echoed loudly, so to Primus he heard too many to keep track of, but he would still head back to the Cornucopia to meet back up with the Career Pack.
By the time he returned, the Careers had claimed the organic of supplies. Syngular was dead, and so was the male from District 4. But Sterling, Alexia and the female from District 4 remained including Primus himself. He was then informed that 15 were dead, so 9 remained. The 4 Careers, and 5 rogue Tributes. One had limped off south, leaving a small blood trail behind them. And not even half a day went by and they heard cannonfire, more than likely belonging to the limping Tribute who went south. But for the day The Careers would only leave the Cornucopia so the bodies could be retrieved, then they returned to establish their campsite. Whatever that shining item was, it was gone now. So some other Tribute must have made off with it.
By day 2, the heat and brightness had increasing greatly, which the Careers would use to their advantage by sleeping inside of the Cornucopia while one remained on guard, so they were cool and shaded to start the day. And while the guard slept off a few hours, the awake Careers which were Sterling, Primus and the District 4 girl, they would prepare their supplies to set out for hunting down the other Tributes, and after Alexia had woken up, they heard cannonfire. Which meant there was now only 3 others left, and in a day they couldn't have gotten far. So the full pack of Careers following some footprints northwest towards a gulch where a sandstorm divided the valley from a waterfall. That water could save the Careers' lives but the risk was too high because of what could lie inside of the brewing sands. And that could have been the cause of the cannonfire from earlier that day.
So the Careers would instead head east, to where they discovered a deep dark cave, and decided to set up camp again until the next day. By now things were very dull, and too many were dead in less than three days, so the Gamemakers would be bored at this point and may be reckless on who they would like to see as the victor. But over the night, the Careers had slept nicely while Sterling was on guard. By morning all were being rushed awake by Sterling shouting to them, and from the high ridge they were on, they spotted someone or something heading down to the Cornucopia which was far but noticeable. And so they all dashed down to encounter who had fallen into their trap, which wad that they left the Pyramid of supplies seemingly untouched and unoccupied, but they had actually burned all of the supplies that they didn't need, and kept what they could for themselves. Which the person was sprawled out on the ground dehydrated from the heat, though the Careers had their own canteens already full of water so they were fine.
Alexia handled the boy who was from District 3, probably no older than Primus, just hoping to survive. But mercy wasn't part of the way that the Hunger Games was played, especially amongst the Career Tributes. So then after more cannonfire, another followed. Leaving 5 in total, The Careers and one more. By nightfall after the Careers re-established camp at the Cornucopia, in the sky The Fallen had played in blue holograms, displaying Syngular, The Boy from District 4, all others except for the boy from District 10. This technically meant it was reaching the Finale. So the Careers became cautious of one-another, knowing that with only one other Tribute left, it wouldn't make a difference to kill each other now, so with Primus on guard duty for the night, he had a single chance to make a run for it, but he more than likely would die if he was alone, at least for now things were stable.
So now on day 4, The Careers had set out south to where the person from day one had disappeared off to and died. In this direction they found a large pit with a slope that peaked directly to the center. It was a little too suspicious, having a random hole with a ramp purposely leading down into it. The Gamemakers might as well have put up a sign saying 'This Way For A Horrible Death'. None of them were willing to enter, but Sterling had pushed the Girl from District 4 into the pit from where they overlooked, and when she hit the ground from the well-around 60ft drop, she let out a cry of pain which was followed by a scream in agony. Once Sterling, Alexia and Primus looked over the edge they were haunted by the sight of strange Scorpion-like Creatures that were more than twice the size of any human, possibly Muttations which were slowly ripping the girl to pieces, and soon after her cannonfire had sounded.
But then like a form of primal instinct the Scorpion Mutts headed up the ramp and were now pursuing the remaining Careers, all were too focused on escaping rather than anything else, but Primus had a good lead ahead of Sterling and Alexia, which the Scorpions were considerably fast as well, and were catching up quickly to Sterling who was the slowest of the Pack, and so his legs were snipped and he was left to be ripped apart. A fitting death for his cruel assault against the District 4 girl. Alexia and Primus had outran and escapes the Scorpion Mutts, and had lost their sense of direction due to the mix up of running. A cannonfire sounded nearly an hour after they had escaped, meaning Sterling was tortured and played with first.
This left District 2 both from District 2 and the boy from District 10 alive. So it was down to the final 3, but Primus and Alexia had decided to keep the Career pack going until the District 10 boy was killed. So over the night they shared rations and water, and had to huddle together for warmth, no guards this time. So they did what was necessary to survive, and by morning they were ready to go after eating the last of their food by splitting it up evenly, and drinking their last amounts of water. But this was it, this had to be the final day, Day 5.
So picking up only his sword, Primus had readied himself. And Alexia had no weapon because she lost it when running from the Scorpions. So she would stop in her tracks before they even made it anywhere a sizeable distance from where they had woken up, and she would then say that she would act as a decoy to try to draw out the District 10 boy, Primus agreed and so she did. They figured he was smart and skilled for surviving this long, so he may not fall for any tricks, but they had to try. So they walked half of a day to get back to the Cornucopia, and Primus hid within it while Alexia set up a rather obvious and indiscreet campfire, and through the day there was nothing, no sign of anyone in any direction.
As the sun had set however, and so the anthem played and The Fallen was displayed, it was shown that the District 10 boy was dead. And had apparently died while Alexia and Primus had slept the night before. So this was it, the pack was broken right then, and Alexia had disarmed Primus while he was distracted by The Fallen, and she managed to cut him across his face from the center of his left cheek down to his jaw, which was deep and caused blood to rush out quickly and his left eye's vision was impaired completely, so he would retaliate in a blind rage, using what strength he did have to tackle Alexia on top of the still-lit campfire, and he held her arms down and she slowly burned to death, though she managed to knock him off of her, and she attempted to stand up, but she was too weak.
So Primus would stand up and approach her, picking up the sword which she had taken from him and used against him, and as a parting apology he had nodded his head to her with eye contact, but then he would slice his sharp sword into her throat, piercing deeply to end her suffering instantly, and so her cannonfire followed, and Primus was the stand-alone survivor, and the Victor of the 42nd Annual Hunger Games...
After his victory tour when he returned home to District 2, Primus had grown a pointless habit of training himself for The Games which he had already won, and now he was left with the scar which Alexia had given to him across the left side of his face. His eye wasn't damaged though, so he could still see perfectly from it. But he went on to live in the Victor's Village of District 2, still working in Masonry despite the advantages that were brought from a victory. And 10 years later he had broken his training habits, and another 9 years he retired from Masonry work and decided to just live a calm and peaceful life, and thankfully he never mentored any Tributes after his games, because of the high amount of other District 2 Victors, so he had almost entirely forgotten The Games, but he never forgot how much that changed in him, but he had the misfortune of being reminded often by others.
