THE SCREENPLAY OF CODRUS ELDRINGHOFF IN DISTRICT 6

ACT 1: Life, Ruff
SCENE 1 - When They Met
Int. Early Afternoon-Court Room.
Two elderly males, one a defendant and the other a prosecutor, are sitting beside their attorneys with frowns plastered on their wrinkled faces. The female attorney represents the defendant and the male attorney represents the prosecutor. One male clerk in his early 40s is sitting there ready to begin typing. Several Peace Keepers stand near by as to guard the entire court room. The jury sits quietly, ready to listen intently. The twenty something female judge bangs her gavel to bring attention to the case.
Judge:
We will now proceed with Case #40092.
JUDGE pauses briefly to clear her throat. She makes eye contact with the male attorney. Whom is secretly her boyfriend.
Judge:
This is the continuation trial of Leoguard Bimenal. He is here being prosecuted because of accusations of him sexually harassing his own daughter, Eleanor.
Codrus [offstage]:
To better understand this. You need to know somethings about my family. They're mostly all in some sort of politics. The judge is my mother, Lucille, the prosecutor's attorney is my father, Victor, the defendent's attorney is my aunt, Aggie, the clerk is Aggie's husband and my uncle, Herald, the defendant is my grandmother's boy toy, and the prosecutor, himself is my grandfather, Leoguard. On top of that the rest of my cousins, aunts, uncles, and family is watching this entire case unfold on live tv.
Lucille:
The jurors have discussed and the verdict is guilty. Leoguard Bimenal will be sentenced to 5 years doing community service and 25 years in jail.
LUCILLE bangs her gavel and speaks once more.
Lucille:
Court adjourned.
A Peace Keeper comes up and hand-cuffs Leoguard, he, himself is fighting against it, and in the end gets a swift kick to the stomach. Nobody else flinches in the room except for a couple Jurors. Once Leoguard is outside of the courtroom, everybody begins moving around. Some people exiting and others standing around chatting about the case and the atmosphere. It seems everyone is a bit uneasy to know that somebody out there in the world would be like that. Victor wanders over to the judge's seat where Lucille is still sitting. Her hair out of her bun.
Victor:
Hey babe? How ya' doin' up dere?
Lucille:
I'm hot and tired. I don't want to have to keep doing theses stupid cases all day long. It's a struggle to seem interested even when you're not especially when at least one person is watching you just for the fun of it. Sure, most of the time people are looking at me and thinking “What is she thinking” but there's at least one person if not more who are looking at me and thinking “Woah, look at that hottie up there” Ugh, it's absolutely infuriating!
Victor:
Hey, calm down. I'll be waiting for you once you get to leave this Popsicle stand.
Lucille:
Hahhaha! I would really appreciate that if you would be so kind to wait here with me, but I know how much you want to get home and all so I'll just leave you to your own business
Victor:
Listen, baby, nothing is going to come between us. I'll be there for you and you'll be there for me? Right?
LUCILLE sighs and smiles after a brief moment.

Lucille: Right.
Codrus [offstage]:
My step-mother and father found each other after several years together doing cases. My father was always the one to come up to her and start chatting about something random like the weather. Once he built up the reassurance, he asked her out on a date and started a relationship with her. So far, no plans about children have been made, or even thought of yet.

SCENE 2 – Second Chances
Int. Late Night- Victor's and Lucille's house
Victor is entering his room with a sly smile on his face. Lucille is working until early morning, and he has all this free time to himself. He turns on his bedroom lights only to see a sultry woman laying in a sexy pose on his bed. He grinned madly.
Victor:
You ready to get started, Dianne?
Dianne:
Remember I cost $25 per hour
Victor:
Oh, I remember alright
Victor starts taking off his clothes and crawls into bed with her. They soon start kissing, which leads to making out, and eventually to sexual activities. About an hour later, when they're done the apartment door opens and Lucille comes inside.
Lucille:
Oh Victor? I'm home early.
Lucille enters into a dinning room only to see a couple of glasses of wine on the table, and complete and utter darkness except for a few lit candles filling the room with the scent of lavender and vanilla. She cautiously enters despite it being her house and she sets her purse down on a table near the door. She makes her way into the hallway including their bedroom and the bathroom. She pauses for a moment only to find the bathroom dirtier than usual. When she turns around she finds her bedroom door closed. This instantly sets off a red alert. She cautiously knocks softly on the wooden door.
Lucille:
Victor? Are you sleeping?
Lucille is soon greeted by a loud and large snore. Of course he probably retired early cause she was busy at work. Lucille walks into her own room and frowns; inside her bed she sees another female figure in her bed. Instantly, she is furious.
Lucille:
V-V-Victor.... Please.. tell me...
The other female turns around and looks at Lucille. Slowly but surely she raises her hand and flips Lucille the middle finger.
Dianne:
The name is Dianne...We had fun
DIANNE pulls the covers off of her body only to reveal her nude body. She slowly gets out of bed slipping her high heals back on along with a light robe. On her way out she gently brushes the back of Lucille's face and kisses her on the cheek. LUCILLE watches her all the way up until she leaves out the door. Once, the door is closed she storms into the rest of the bedroom only to find no Victor. She then decides to go looking around the rest of her apartment. Sooner rather than later she gives up on her little search. Lucille, eventually, goes back into the living room to see that Victor, her husband, is sleeping on the couch with only his pairs of boxer on. She left the room and storms off.
Codrus [offstage] :
My blood mother, is a prostitute by the name of Dianne Hefton. She is the main reason for my personality. She makes me who I am on the inside. While my father and I look alike. She's a creative, and free- willed spirit who never wanted to get into a job as a prostitute. She never expected me either. She was almost fired from her job when she found out she was pregnant, but luckily she had a friend who would stick up for her in the business of statisfying others. When she had me, she simply left me on his door step knowing that deep inside he was the father and the cause of all her misfortune. Not to mention everybody else's. I've met with her on a plentiful amount of occasions and never honestly agreed with her actions of leaving me alone with him and his wife. However, I understood and accept that she still would enjoy me in her life, and have allowed her that much.

SCENE 3 – Family of 5 4
Int. Afternoon - Hospital
Victor and a 4 year old Cod are sitting quietly. Not acknowledging each other or anything. The silence secretly killing them both. Victor after seeing two children be born had enough. The yelling, and screaming, and just everybody being there freaked him out. On top of that with his first born being a stillborn, well that was horrifying enough. He told himself over and over that he wouldn't have another one no matter what happened. He glances at Cod and frowns.
Cod:
Daddy? Is there something wrong?
COD looks innocently up at his father for an answer. VICTOR simply smiles and brushes Cod's curly brown hair behind his ear.
Victor:
It's nothing that you need to know about... I just hope your mother is fine in there
COD's little fingers move over to his father's and they intertwine. Cod looks at their hands so close together, and he gets up off the chair. He starts pulling his father over to the hospital nursery.
Cod: Daddy, do you love me?
VICTOR was taken back, but his expression remained the same.
Victor: Of course I do... Why wouldn't I?
Cod: Because...
COD's face folds in on itself and tears start flowing from his eyes.
Cod: I hear you and mommy yelling, and it scares me... I heard you talk about sending me away and leaving me on the streets... I hear you telling her about me and my brother...Where is he?
VICTOR pauses and looks away, pulling his hands up to his face. COD leans in and places a hand on his father's leg as sincere as a little child could.
Cod: Where is he daddy?
Victor: He's....He's sleeping somewhere safe..
VICTOR glances away from COD and into space. Little Cod didn't need to know just yet. This afterall was just the beginning of the end.

SCENE 4 - Lights Out
A now 12 year old Codrus is playing quietly with his easel in his room. Painting a nice picture for his room. It's a painting of his family. His mother, holding hands with his sister and his father who is holding hands with him. Victor, Cod's father comes in with a stern expression.
Victor: You should be studying... Not painting some dumb f***ing painting.
COD looks up at his father and instantly frowns. VICTOR remains tall and not wavering.
Cod: Why? Why, do you always have to be so mean daddy?
Victor: Listen to me and do as you're told. Stop drawing and painting and being so much like your mother!
COD clenches his fists and tries to attack his father. VICTOR simply grabs onto both of his fists and lifts his son into the air. Being careful to watch where his son is kicking.
Victor: ...You will do as you are told this instant! Or else!
COD continues on kicking at his father

SCENE 5 - Spotlights and Shows
Ext. Early Night - High Humidity - Street
Codrus, whom is 14 years old, stands alone underneath a flickering street lamp trying to keep a straight face. An adult couple walks by him smiling, not even glancing back at him. He looks down at his feet, and pulls his shirt higher. In the distance he spots an elderly lady asking a young teenage girl. His head lifts up, and he keeps his attention on the young teen. From a distance she seems the same age as himself. Eventually the older lady continues on after the female teen points in a specific direction. Two men with masks come up behind the younger teen.
Cod: Hey! Watch out!
Cod runs across the street, narrowly avoiding being hit and ran-over by a bus. He takes a swing at one of the men who have now taken a metal base-ball bat off of his back. He aims at the girl and hits her stomach, rendering her out of breath and unconscious. The two men focus their attention on Cod.
Thug 1: Don't make me hurt you kid! Cause I will!
Thug 2: Try us you little punk! We f***ing dare you!
Both of the thugs attack Cod only to have them attack each other. Cod simply smiles and laughs a little. Thug Number One gets up and pulls out a knife. Cod does the same, and they start slashing at each other. Cod has only received several scratches so far, but he still holds the upper-hand. Once he gets the chance he knocks one of the dudes flat on his butt.
Thug 2: Are? Aren't you? The boss' kid?
COD stiffens slightly hoping they don't mean his father.
Thug 1: You mean, THE boss' kid? Codrus?
Cod: I'M NOT HIS F***ING SON ANY DAMN MORE!
Codrus: Only 14 years old and I still kick ass

SCENE 6 - Broken but Still Good
Nowadays Codrus is a man of age 17 with an essence about him that settles everybody down. His easy-going demeanor shows that everything is under-control and such.
Cod: Hey! Merc! How's everything working out?
Merc: Just fine! Keagan get over here! You're next after me!
Keagan walks over to Merc in full fledged costume. Cod carefully watched them as Merc said several line on stage and eventually Keagan followed as was allowed by his cue.

ACT 2 - Personally, Me
SCENE 1 – Drugs, Solely
Ext. Night – Streets/Alley way
Cod is standing around in a large oversized black trench coat looking down at the ground. Cautiously looking around and keeping his eyes peeled. Nothing all that out of the ordinaryfor a chilly night like that. A man comes over to Cod with his hands in his pockets and an

SCENE 2 – Day 15
Int. Morning – Backstage
Cod is sitting on the stage and looking out at all the chairs. Eventually Mercury comes in and sits next to him.
Mercury: What's on your mind Cod?
Cod: Just spacing out.
Mercury: You can tell me
COD shakes his head and continues on with his own thoughts.
Mercury: At least do me something.
Cod: What?
Mercury: Help me think up questions for auditions?
COD hesitates a little before nodding his head. MERCURY smiles, and pulls out a few note cards, and a pen
Mercury: Should we have individual auditions or group auditions
Cod: Both, make them come two sessions: one to get to know them, and another to see how their acting is.
Mercury: How about the singing portion? Individual or Group
Cod: Both, mandatory for individual and optional for group
Mercury: Individual auditions consist of...interview questions?
Cod: Yes, no resumes, just come in and audition when both of us are available.
Mercury: What sort of questions?
Cod: Anything, and everything. Tell them to me, and act like you're interviewing me. I'll mention whether or not it'll go.
Mercury: Name?
Cod: Codrus ' Uracil' Eldrinhoff. Middle name is optional, first and last are mandatory
Merc: Age?
Cod: 17
Merc: Birthday?
Cod: No, and it's the 17th of September.
Merc: Gen-
Cod: No, and obviously male
Merc: Sexuality?
Cod: No, and asexual
MERCURY laughs and playfully hits him on the shoulder. Cod glances away and lets his smile fade before putting it right back on again.
Cod: Next question.
Merc:

SCENE 3 -

SCENE 4 – Stuck Forever
Ext- Late Night – Patio
Cod, a 14 year old boy, is staring at his father. He is holding hands with a girl. Neither of them know what is about to happen. The moon is full and the night is cloudless. All is silent and the night is empty as can be. No children running out late at night and tons of families are inside and sleeping.
Cod: Dad?
Victor: I'm sorry son. Your friend has to leave.
VICTOR's face is stern and unchanging.
Cod: But Dad! It's her birthday! She deserves to spend time with me! I'm her first boyfriend for god's sake!
Victor: SHE NEEDS TO LEAVE!
Cod: NO SHE DOESN'T!
COD is standing in front of his girlfriend. VICTOR is glaring at them from the door. He leaves for a moment, but comes back a moment later.
Cod: Don't worry he won't hurt us anymore... I'm sure of it Holly.
Holly: But-Cobalt? What if he is serious? I mean we can meet up some other time. I am getting tired, and I should be heading home now.
Cod: Don't worry. I called your mother before inviting you over and asked if you could stay over. She said yes.
HOLLY smiles and COD does the same. Holly leans in for a kiss only to be interrupted by the sound of a gunshot. Cod instantly turns toward his father, Victor.
Victor: Cod, this is for your own good.
VICTOR aims the gun at HOLLY.
Cod: NO! DAD! DON'T! IF YOU DO, I SWEAR I WILL KILL YOU! I WON'T GO INTO THE FAMILY BUSINESS! I WON'T DO ANYTHANG YOU TELL ME TO DO! PLEASE DON'T!!!! SHE HAS A LOVING FAMILY OF HER OWN! SHE HAS TWO SISTERS! PLEASE DAD.....DON--
VICTOR fires a gun shot and HOLLY falls dead. Holly is on the ground and barely breathing. COD runs over to her and is holding her in his arms...
Cod: HOW COULD YOU?!?!? SHE DID NOTHING WRONG! SHE WASN'T HURTING YOU!
Victor: But she was.... She was hurting you. She was ruining your chances at life. You don't need some distraction like her changing your goals
Cod: SHE WASN'T! I SWEAR SHE WASN'T! SHE DIDN'T CHANGE ANYTHING!

Cod is only 12 years old with another girl sitting on a cloth. Cos is wearing loose comfortable clothing that makes him look slick and nice. His smile is stuck on his face and his curly hair is curlier than normal. His smooth hands meet with the other girl's and she is looking at him admiringly. Obviously, they are a couple in love.
Cod: I love you, Holly.
Holly: I love you too
COD has brunette curly locks of hair that aren't entirely curly but are definitely not straight either. He's wearing a

Xana: Wha? What do you mean I don't get the part? I have the best voice and you know it!
Merc: Listen! Cod and I decided that it would fit Hestia's personality better
Xana: Oh? So that's how it is now!? You're taking orders from that freak! He only weighs 148 pounds! For all we know he could starve himself?
Merc: Or he could work out a lot. I've seen him and Keagan play sports before. He's really good and I think you're just jealous
Xana: Of course I am! He's
