Lana - District 9

Lana has dark brown hair, falling loose just past her shoulders. She has large brown eyes, and full lips that soften the sharp angles of her nose and face. She is pale, with long fingers, the ends of which are home to ragged nails, bitten down to stubs over the years. Lana stands at 5'9,and is skinny and bony - a displeasing feature that people often comment on.

Lana is weak but she handles an cleaver rather well. She runs fast, but it comes as no use with her clumsiness. She is observant, yet impatient and somewhat of a perfectionist. She often makes biting coments (mainly sarcastic)but tries her hardest to be nice to everyone.

Lana was born and raised in District 9, by her father - the avid hunter - and her mother - a woman who would never harm even a fly. She had two brothers, twins, both 4 years her elder. However, in a hunting accident involving a pack of wild dogs when Lana was just 6 years old, they died. Her mother was reluctant to ever let Lana hunt, but was worn down by her husband who insisted it was just a fluke, that Lana would be fine.
So when she was deemed old enough she started hunting - and was terrible. Of course, she had the light tread and fast footing, but her long distance aim was awful, and she could not set a trap to save her life. Babied by her mother and thought a failure by her father, Lana tried her hardest to hunt like her father. Then she discovered the cleaver. It wasn't customary for hunters to use a cleaver, but it worked for Lana. She could chop, throw and swing like no one else. And she was proud.
To his day she is still haunted by the loss of her brothers, but has a younger sister who she cares for dearly.
