Helios Axinite | District 1 | Complete

Helios has always been the fastest runner in his grade. The kid is dark skinned. His deep brown eyes make the District 1 teenage girls knees weak. He is a well fed, well built killing machine; he is forever destined to win the hunger games. He has a very soft face making him extremely easy to look at.

Being a career from District 1 you will rarely see Helios wearing anything but running shoes and dry land clothing. The only signature fashion item you will see him wearing is a gold chain with an Axinite gem set in platinum. He never takes this heirloom off. From a far Helios seems quite incompetent when it comes to brains or braun, only when you are standing toe to toe with the boy will you be able to truly see his sheer raw power.

The features Helios likes about his body are his feet, his hair & his teeth. He loves his feet because of how fast they can carry him. He doesn't particularly care about how they look but how they work. He loves his soft puffy hair, mainly because its so plush. The reason he loves his teeth is because they know with his smile sponsors won't be able to throw parachutes fast enough at him.

Helios hates his arms, his nose and his stomach. He feels that his arms are relatively useless besides the fact that they help him run faster, if it wasn't that his arms were attached to his hands, which hold a weapon, I think he would prefer not to have them at all. His nose is too big for his own taste. He doesn't like it's function in the body, smelling stuff isn't all that great to him. Helios has never been satisfied with his abs, they never seem to look right, whether toned or flabby they always appear as someone else's abs on his body.

Helios is a pretty serious kid for his age, he knows how to be a kid but rarely shows it. All of his time is dedicated preparing for the games, because when he enters he needs to assure himself he will be the 1 in 24 that will be going home.

During Helios' training for the games he has discovered a special ability with a very deadly weapon. The glaive, although it isn't the most agile of weapons it has abilities that prove most worthy while in hand to hand combat. He found this talent about a year ago when training with another career who was much older and stronger than he was. He was getting a few good hits here and there with swords and hatchets and stuff he just wasn't doing anything amazing. He picked up a glaive at first it felt flimsy and slow, but it grew on him it started to become sort of like an extension of his arm, it made him like that part of his body just a little bit more.

Around other careers he is generally a pretty quiet guy. After all, It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt. He doesn't care much for school, he knows that some aspects of learning will enable him to have the highest chance of success in the arena but in some fields he gives zero attention at all.

Helios is a very competitive person when it comes to anything. Whether his competitor knows they are competing or not Helios is always trying to win is some sense. This is undoubtably his biggest flaw, never being able to let his guard down means never being able to open up. If you can't open up you won't make friends; in the games an alliance can and will save you from an almost inevitable fate...

Helios' family has always lived a comfortable life in District 1. With his father being a businessmen traveling back and forth to the capitol he makes a very good living for the Axinite family. Helios' mother is a nurse at the local hospital which proves useful for Helios almost every single day. If he gets cut up in training his mother fixes him up and he watches and when he doesn't get thrashed he's practicing his first aid skills with the minor patients his mother cannot get to immediately.

Being a career Helios will eventually be expected to volunteer for the games. At age 14 he has yet to take any tessarae. His parents know that this is what he wants so they do not attempt to stop him only to help him get stronger by providing him the best coaches and mentors that they can find.

His father is working as hard as he can to raise as much money for Helios while in the games so that he may send him many parachutes. Specifically if Helios doesn't get one while in the BloodBath, A Glaive.

Helios loved every single part about being a career; he loved the smell of fresh blood as he sliced someone open. He loved knowing how to injure and kill someone the quickest way possible while surveying their weaknesses all at the same time.

No siblings, that would only distract from the focus he needs to win. Helios knows being a career isn't always enough. Training everday, killing, winning. It may never be enough, but in order to find out he will need to enter, the hunger games.
