Appearance: Lotus Windblade is part of District 1, and her fortune shows in her appearance. She's medium-tall, 5' 7", and slim. She has curly, jet-black hair that reaches a little past her shoulders. She has very light blue eyes that look like shards of ice, as well as a sharp nose and thin, pale lips. Her eyebrows are angled downward so she always has a sharp, angry look to her. She's fast and agile, but weak as a twig.

Lotus has her ears pierced and wears small sapphire earrings that make her eyes look even more striking. She doesn't have any tattoos or other piercings, yet. She usually wears tight pants and silk tops that show off her arms and legs. Her intimidating yet regal appearance makes people take one step back when she walks into a room.

Personality: Lotus acts just as intimidating as she looks. She's cold and calculating, and she usually shoos off whoever is brave enough to confront her. She's very spoiled, and gets whatever she wants immediately. Not like that's any different from the rest of District 1. She almost always has a smart remark to everything, making her not a fun person to talk to.

Lotus has almost like an aura of cold beauty, both by the way she looks and the way she acts. It's much like marveling the beauty of a tundra. One minute you're entranced in its sculptural beauty, the next you realize you have frostbite. Lotus values power and strength. Not exactly physical strength, but influential strength. She can influence people to do almost anything, either by her persuading words or her threatening appearance. Because of this she is respected among her classmates and even many adults.

Lotus thinks that the Hunger Games is a piece of cake. She's been trained in knife throwing (which is pretty much requisite for her to live up to her last name) since she could hold one up. She can also sneak up behind someone without them noticing until she's literally touching them. She thinks that whoever can't win the HG is weak, pathetic, and dumb, and that the winners are just living up to basic survival expectations. If she had the chance, she would volunteer without hesitation. Too bad the person who's chosen usually accepts it without a problem.

History: Lotus was born in District 1, to a relatively powerful family in District 1. She was one of the first to walk, and talk, and she started training to be a Career since she was three. She quickly picked up knife-throwing, and now she's one of the best in her district. She also excelled at stealth, and self-defense.

Lotus's small group of friends consists of only the most powerful kids her age in the District. She's respected for her sharp tongue, persuasive skills, and knife-throwing abilities, plus many admire her cold beauty. She's not friendly, she just values power and strength as much as the rest of the group.

Quite a few of her friends have died in the Games, and sometimes she wonders if her group is so powerful after all. Am I the only person in this entire district worthy of being here at all? Wanting to impress her friends, family, and rest of the District, she's tried to volunteer in the last six hunger games, but either the person reaped wanted it, or somebody volunteered first. This is her last year, and she's more bloodthirsty than ever to win.
