Name: Tilly Leigh Anderson
Gender: Female
Age: Sixteen
District: 1
Gender: Female
Age: Sixteen
District: 1
Appearance:
[/justify][/blockquote][/blockquote]Her looks mean a lot to her since it is one of the only good things about herself. Still, she often finds herself critiquing herself negatively toward her body. Her mother gave her naturally straight, dull brown hair. Don’t get her wrong. She adores brown hair over all the other shades but she thinks her particular shade lacks shine and volume. Always, she tries her best to fix this “problem” by applying highlights into her locks and by purchasing a curling iron. Soon after receiving such items, Tilly became obsessed with her hair and has even allowed it to grow near her lower back. She tries many styles but her most favored would be big, curls.
Her eyes are in an almond shape which she does not like. When smiling for photos, her cheeks cause her eyes to almost shut. Bags of skin form at the bottom of her eyes, which she absolutely hates. Her eyes are of a dark brown shade that makes her hair quite well. The mere color of her iris do not bother Tilly as much as every thing else. She has actually grown to love how her eye color matches her hair. Around her eyeballs, thick eyelashes grow. She, of course, applies quite the amount of mascara to help make her brown iris “pop.”
As for her nose, she hates it. It is too thick and piglike for her liking. She wishes that her parents would send her off to the Capitol so she could get plastic surgery to correct her odd appearing nose. She has it in her mind that they will for her nineteenth birthday as a way of saying, you are too old to be reaped; therefore we will not waste our money on a girl that may die soon. Tilly, however, does not know it this is try but she assumes she is correct. Not only is her nose oddly shaped but it is also clouded with freckles she has yet to grow out of. Her normally shaped cheeks are also covered in the spots
Behind her pump, light pink lips, straight, white teeth reside. They better be straight since she went through hell as a child. She had braces after much debate from her parents. Cruel children called her “brace face” and ugly when she was younger and the metal was present in her mouth. After the braces came out of her mouth, however, she believed the other kids to be jealous of her perfect teeth. Tilly also uses whitening toothpaste twice a day to help maintain a white smile.
Tilly thinks her jaw line is absolutely lovely. Never quite understanding face shapes, she is unsure of what shape her jaw is in. Perhaps it is in the shape of a heart or maybe square. Regardless of the shape, she is fond of her jaw line. At the end of her jaw lies her ears. She neither loves or dislikes this because she really does not know what to think of them. There are currently two piercing in her ears. Tilly can honestly say she followed the trend on this one.
This career stands at a height of 5’8 and weighs a mere 110 pounds. Tilly believes slender is more beautiful than being muscular; therefore she has a rather small build. Muscles are existent but they are only in her arms and legs. As a career, she built her arms to be able to swing a blade or pull back a bow and her legs received muscles from all the running she takes part in. Still, her body remains free of oversized, unattractive muscles. Covering her every inch of her body is her olive skin color.
Personality:
Some may call her conceited and, well, Tilly would not even bother to argue with them. She is. Actually, she has grown to embrace her good looks and her ability to keep up with the other careers. She believes people are jealous of her constantly because her rather good looks and her ability to charm just about any person. She, however, does not think the word cocky describes herself since she actually delivers what she knows she can rather than just talking “the talk.”
Bitch is another word people use to describe her. This word, however, she adores. This word, Tilly thinks, people use out of their fear of her. Perhaps these people are afraid she’d murder them in training or the guys are afraid they will be in the same arena with her one day. As if she would kill one of her own. Anyways, she also think girls label her as a threat because of her beauty. While those girls fantasy about boys they will never be with, Tilly is getting her “mack” on with those hot guys. She rather be feared than loved any day. Anyways, the word also refers to people’s jealousy of her. Yes, because every person in this district should bow down to her gorgeous looks and the way to takes down a person in combat.
This chick is also very strong willed and her opinions on things rarely change. Almost nothing sways her views on things which could be either harmful or good. It could be disastrous when arguing with bomb squad on which wire to cut. She finds the blue wire attractive and thinks it will save them all. However, the bomb squad argues that the cutting of the blue wire would make the bomb automatically explode. She cuts the wire herself anyways, killing everyone. That has yet to happen but it is very possible that that would be the scene between herself and the bomb squad. This characteristic may come in handy when it comes to her school work or when having conversations in which debate is needed. Her strong will makes her a better fighter. She does not give up on a fight and she will fight for what she believes to be right. As one may infer, her strong will makes her seem very ignorant and hardheaded.
Some may call her rebellious and stubborn. Tilly hates authority figures other than her parents, of course. She respects her parents and that is pretty much it. Random people that tell her how to do things make her angry. In a way, she knows her instructors are trying to help her but, on the other hand, she gets this feeling they are setting up for failure; therefore she ignores some things they say. At times, she could cause friction between authority figures and herself just because she finds is amusing.
Because she is a career, she is quite the fighter. Hand-to-hand is not her most favored since she has to use her own hands as a weapon. When it comes to combat, she favors the actual use of knifes and other sharp, fun objects. Weapon of choice would be either a sword, large knife, or a club. She does not enjoy the use of weapons she has to throw since she does have to retrieve them or she loses them. Either way, Tilly labels them as an inconvenience. She rather have the object in her hands when she attacks someone so she will have more control of whether or not it will hit the target.
History:
On January 19, Tilly Leigh Anderson was born a happy baby in District 1. Being from such a wealthy family and district, she got just about anything she wanted. If she wanted a horse, she would have gotten a ranch with half a dozen horses. At one time, she wanted a dollhouse from a commercial she saw. Rather than getting the dollhouse she wanted, she got a custom-made dollhouse that resembled her house as well as matching dolls of her parents, brother, sister, and herself. So, to say she was spoiled as a child would be an understatement.
Never had she understood why her parents insisted on calling her such a ridiculous name. Tilly Leigh. It sounds as if she was the name of a character from a Dr. Seuss book or something. Anyways, as a young child, Tilly hated her name. She did not enjoy the way the word came off her classmates’ tongues or the teachers’ for that matter. It was something about that name that grinded her young, little gears. She really could not understand why she hated it so. Perhaps she thought being called “Tilly” was just as bad as being called “Poopie Head” or “Butt Face.”
Though that part of her teasing was all in her head, being called “Braceface” for part of her life was not. Her parents were not so pleased with how her permanent teeth grew in so, they bought braces to be placed in her teeth at the age of 8. Along with the metal in her mouth, she was teased for her freckles and long hair. The kids, of course, called her ugly as well as being called a beast or monster due to her ugliness. Five years and many names later, Tilly got her braces taken off and her teeth whitten. Along with her new “glamorous” teeth, she learned how to use a curling iron and apply make-up. It seems that the ugly duckling has turned into a beautiful swan.
Before she gained her new face, she wished to be a career. So, like many of the other ten year olds, Tilly took tests to become a career. Her braces, though, provided a problem. If she got punched in her face, the metal brackets would cut into her lips. It was painful at first but she got over it. Tilly practiced her hand-to-hand until she got great at it. Soon, she was the person throwing the punches rather than the one receiving them.
Upon receiving her new beauty, Tilly climbed her way up the totem pole of popularity. She doubt anyone could even be compared to her. She was absolutely beautiful and strong. She can throw quite the punches but still fears breaking a nail. She can toss knives and shoot bows as well as use a sword to slice open a dummy. Tilly considers herself sort of a Top Dog around the Careers but, at the same time, she is afraid there will be a person that will shot her down.
