Iberis Roxery District 2

Iberis is tall. She has elegant curves like a swan. While her beauty is praised, she doesn't think about that, she knows it's not true. Her eyes are a deep shade of green, that of the sea. Her hair is a dark brown, almost black.

She has 6 freckles on her nose. She doesn't like them. Iberis can't smile, well, she can't turn the corners of her mouth upwards. She tries her mouth out each day, only to be met with the same vain attempt. Her eyes always seem disapproving. She has a deep scar going up to her shoulder. Prodding it, makes it bleed. Like, really bleed. Dangerous blood. She bleeds not cries.

Iberis is smart, and happy. She knows how to make you laugh. But she deters people with her eyes and unsmiling ability. She is a gullible girl. Iberis hates the Hunger Games. She will do her duty though of volunteering. Iberis is snappy. Too much, so. She loves blood. And she loves pain. But she hates herself bleeding. She knows that will happen in the Games, though. So she stays at the back. Iberis loves to dance to a good rhythm, but rarely does so. She has a good voice but she rarely sings.

The long boughs swing to her. She's light and can climb trees. Iberis will climb to the top branches and retrieve a scamp or a Capitol runaway. She is cunning. Iberis plots in her spare time. Not evilly. But she thinks of what she'd do in the Hunger Games. Thinks of what it'd be like if their food ran out; if their supplies went astray. She is handy with a knife. She, as a Career, always stays at the knife station. Until not too long ago... Recently, she finally went to the other stations. She started to know her herbs. She gained a new personality too. Not bipolar, but just... she gained something.

She became cheeky. Not just little cheeky, but real cheeky. Using her lightness to steal. To climb into mason-homes and steal. She never thought of the consequences. Iberis was found one day. She was nearly killed. She kept going though. She stopped her cheeky attitude. Then she trained for the Hunger Games every day! Now she's muted her academy activity. She thinks she knows enough. She's now slightly cocky when she's praised, giving a million other reasons she should be praised for.

Iberis has always lived in 2. Her mother, Isadale was a good mother and her father was a good father. Her father was a good stone-mason. When she wasn't at the academy, he taught her how to cut stone. She became a wonderful future stone-mason. She was one day deciding to be cheeky when she found a way over the border. However, when she came back to her district it was gone. Her father got her back in, she climbed a tree. But now she was obsessed with the woods. But she didn't go into them. She drew them in the sand. Her father cut her 2 large rock slabs to paint on. She painted everything- everything in the woods...

Her father and mother became worried; she was growing to be antisocial. Iber wasn't in reality. She met them at night, though. Iber started to grow away from people. One day her father noticed how sly she looked. He thought it was practise for the games. But practise became everyday, though not at the Academy. She excessively carried around knives. Iber was still growing away. Her father talked to her but still, she did not listen. Her father also began to steal to get over his worry. One day he managed to persuade his wife to do so too. But that night they raided a Peacekeeper's house. They were caught. And sent off to the Capitol to turn into Avoxes. Nobody noticed her father and mother's absence. Except her.

She trained at the knife station every day now. She was one of the best students. She avoided others and had thoughts about revenge on the Capitol. She lived alone now. Iberis managed to live on the food of the Academy. But she was wasting away slowly. So she started to steal, every day. She was found. She was given a severe whipping and regretted it. Iberis didn't steal anymore. But now she would climb and throw knives. One time she was angry at her teacher and made a knife whizz past his face! Now she's here, and though she hates the Hunger Games...she will volunteer.
