Age: 17
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 2
Appearance:
Jayden isn't the typical District 2 child. She is under average height and and the average height. Her hair is a thick chestnut color with shades of auburn mixed in. Her eyes are a blue so pale they look like ice and it is uncomfortable to look into them for too long. Her nose is slender and rounded at the tip. Her lower lip is a bit fuller than her upper but shows very faint scarring from where she is constantly biting it.Personality:
Jayden has very slender hands and a birth mark on both thumbs that when put side by side, the mark appears to form a flower petal. Her skin is a soft creamy color, as if she doesn't get enough sun and her nails are always kept short, with just the smallest of white tip allowed. Her teeth are impossibly straight and white. She has a very rounded chin and high cheekbones with dimples she rarely shows. She also has a freckle on the left side of her neck.
Jayden is one of the most loving people not only in her family, but most likely in her family's history. Where they are harsh and ruthless, she is gentle and giving. She loves to do anything she can to help people. She is very quiet and keeps mostly to herself. She does her best to avoid confrontation.History:
She is a very intelligent girl but lacks common sense is many cases. Jayden has a mean streak and can be very vindictive when she wants. She hates people who do whatever they're told and don't think for themselves. Whenever she is left alone she writes everything down that she feels is unfair about society.
Jayden is a girl of rigid integrity. Her moral compass is so strong that whenever she sees something she doesn't approve of, she is very negatively affected. She is a very hopeful girl. She has no real aspirations for herself. She thinks it is useless because either she'll be Reaped, or because she won't be and she'll let her family down.
Jayden's parents were very disappointed when they learned they were having a daughter. When Jayden was old enough to walk they started to train her so that if she were ever Reaped, she would be a strong competitor and hopefully win. Jayden rebelled against that when she was ten. She never did anything to make her parents think she was anything other than a happy girl. Growing up she has harbored dreams of leaving her District and finding somewhere happy and out of the reach of the Capitol to live.Codeword: odair
When she was fifteen she had fallen head over heals with a boy in her class. HE seemed to be genuinely interested in her and her well being and Jayden was over the moon about him. But what she did not know was that he had been hired by her parents. He told her he loved girls who were great with a bow and arrow. So when it came time to learn how to fire one, she threw her entire being into it. She failed to see that everything her infatuation said he enjoyed, her family added it to her training roster. One day, Jayden overheard her mother talking to the boy over the phone and they were planning what new skill she should learn. Jayden was enraged. The boy ended up being Reaped and losing his life to a boy from District one. It was the only Hunger Games that she had ever watched and enjoyed the carnage that had ensued.
After that, Jayden's parents stopped training her as intensly as they had been before. When her seventeenth birthday came around they sat her down and told her she was going to be moved, going to live with her father's younger sister in a deeper part of the District. They told her they thought it would be "good for her health" since she was always so pale. Jayden saw it for what it really was-them dumping their embarrassment of a daughter. But she didn't contest it. Her mother was pregnant with a son and they were already palling on what they would do to make him the best baby, and the best child possible. Everything was about the Games in that house.
Since moving in with her aunt, she has become more of a cynical, hardened person. Her first week with her aunt she was forced to run and train until she collapsed from exhaustion and could keep none of her food down. The week after that the training was worse. She was hit with any and every blunt object under the sun so that she would know what a proper strike would feel like. Everything got worse after that until her aunt felt she had learned enough of what feeling was like and learned how to be a better fighter. Now the only thing that she really fears, is being used.
