Appearance:

Brunette hair cascades in waves down to her shoulders. Eyebrows have been completely plucked away leaving nothing but white patches of skin. Although she does not care about her appearance, she is artificially beautiful, like the Capitol.

Her eyes reach into your soul, a grey without emotion. They flicker from side to side to make sure nothing is in her way. Her crimson lips show no happiness or sadness the same. She is 5'8" and is slightly skinny.Her legs are long with stubble from not being shaved in a while. She feels threatened if her hair is down because it can easily be pulled to take her down. Most often she puts her hair in a bun so that there is little to grab in case of a fist fight.

She has several self inflicted scars on her torso and her back. She has calluses on her hands from climbing trees and is stronger in her right arm because she practices with her sword with her right arm. She cannot stand dresses because they are so exposing and she feels weak. Instead, she likes a simple t-shirt with one of her two pairs of jeans that now offer many holes.

Personality:

She has been trained to completely remove any emotion from her body. She now shows no emotion and completely focuses on the task at hand. To say that she has a good work ethic is an understatement. She once took an oath of silence, but found talking necessary to complete tasks so she broke it five years later.

Her emotional disability is her weakness. People who cannot socialize often times go crazy. Talent is a little crazy herself because of her weakness. Sometimes she will go to school with self inflicted gashes all over her body. She keeps to herself and nobody affiliates with Talent, mostly because she scares them. She always packs an apple, some goat cheese, and a few slices of bread for her lunch.

It is rumored that Talent Emerson has never smiled since she was five years old. Even when her sister died, she just stood there at the funeral sparing no tears. Her cold-blooded way of life is born to survive. If there is no way Talent can survive, there is no telling what she could do. If you listen closely in the middle of the night, you will hear her screams of agony because of being so alone.

One day, emotions will get to her and she will break down. She is a broken person who desperately needs repairing. She is only scared of one thing, only one thing. She is scared of failure. Failure to live up to her parents expectations. Failure to complete the task at hand. Failure to avenge her siblings death.

History:

Talent Emerson was born back when the medicinal industry in district 2 was booming. District 2 was even more popular that District 1 in the Capitol for a short time. She was born to Willow and Crimson Emerson. She had two older siblings, a brother and a sister.

Their parents made it mandatory that all three children must be trained at birth to be a career if needed. Her parent's dream is to become famous with one of their children becoming a victor. Her brother, Shadow, couldn't take the training. He couldn't endure killing people. He ran away for the mythical district 13 and no one has heard from him since.

Talent the took an oath of love at age five, promising never to offer any emotions again. Soon after, she took an oath of silence at age seven after her sister, River, died when peacekeepers found her stealing some medicine for her dying mother. She had to break her oath of silence at age 12 because it interfered with the task at hand.

After District 2 started producing stone, Talent finished her training to become a career. She is an expert at setting traps, sword fighting, tracking, and climbing. Her weaknesses are building fires, hunting animals, can be easily outsmarted, and can become over-confident or crazy. She now waits for something to happen for a new task to complete. Like a robot, she is only satisfied when the job gets done.
