Katerina Carson - District 4

Katerina Carson, tall for a girl. She stands at least 5'10, which causes her to appear older than she is. Living in district four, which is the Capital's main food supply aside from district eleven, she remains a healthy weight, not not overweight by any means. The work in the distract has resulted in a slim, but muscular build, as well as a fit and tan youth. Her hair, just past her shoulders, is naturally brown, but she has taken advantage of her more wealthy district and put in blonde highlights. Her clothes are on the nicer side, considering all the other districts, but they don't compare to that of district one or two.

Though clearly a beautiful girl, she is far from perfect. Pain isn't something she's unfamiliar with, as her scars prove. Training to be a career has left it's mark on her body. No matter how hard she trains, however, she remains thin. Sturdy, yes, but being that thin can be a disadvantage--especially if chosen in the reaping. She's built to be a sprinter, not a long distance runner, and wouldn't stand a chance if attacked by multiple people.

If one asks her directly, Katerina willingly admits she isn't the smartest in the bunch. In fact, she is under the impression that she is quite dense. When it comes to her schoolwork, she scrapes by well enough, but it is certainly nothing to brag about. She has long ago put that behind her as something she can't change. It doesn't bother her anymore, not even when other people tease her for it. She's content knowing she has other strengths.

Convinced she'll go into The Hunger Games one day, Katerina takes her training very seriously. She in determined to bring her family into the Victor's Village, even though they are already pretty well off, financially. Prideful, is a word that would describe her well. She makes up for her lack of intelligence with determination and the ability to be flexible. She's down to earth in most cases, and doesn't ask unnecessary questions. Perhaps she isn't the best people person, but she thinks of this as an advantage. Boys have never been a distraction to her, and growing up with two brothers, she's used to being around them. Upon first meeting Katerina, she's friendly enough, but deep down she doesn't truly trust people until they've proven herself. Still, she won't say no to a friendly conversation, but prefers to keep her friends to a select few.

She has no qualms about hurting, or even killing, someone as long as it is in self defense. She also would never kill a helpless child or elderly person under any circumstance. If someone really pisses her off, she isn't above throwing a punch or two, and can occasionally get a little caught up in her anger. It's a flaw of hers: thinking more about herself than others. Her first priority is always herself, and then she'll think about whoever else is there.

Katerina Carson is the middle child of three. One older brother, one younger. She never was the one that was responsible for the family, but she also wasn't spoiled like her little brother. Being in the middle, she probably got the least amount of attention, yet she didn't mind. It helped her learn to take care of herself. The family did well enough, for people living in district four. No major tragedy occurred during Katerina's upbringing. She wen to school, trained to be a career, and swam to her heart's content.

At age nine, her older brother, who was 12 at the time, got sick and died. The whoa family was devastated. The idea that he might be reaped was always a possibility, but the idea that he would die of natural causes had never been a concern. Suddenly, Katerina was the oldest, and she had no idea what she was supposed to do.

The rest of her life was normal. It wasn't easy, of course. The Peacekeepers were incredibly strict. She got in trouble more than once. She was never content with her life in district four. She resented the Capital for controlling everything everyone did, but she was smarter than to say anything about it. If she had her way, she would lead a nomadic life in the wilds. Like gypsies. She was stuck trying to obtain glory for her family and district, instead.

I have been RPing on and off for about 3 years. I'm a HUGE fan of The Hunger Games. Insanely big fan. -nodnod- Uhmmmm. Lydia, that's my name. And I'm really excited about this. And I apologize for the boring History....not one of my best. :/
