TODD RiDDiKER //DiSTRiCT 4

Todd, only just becoming a man, has a boyish look about him. He has a angular jaw, ending in a pointed chin. His cheeks full, still having a slight hint of baby fat. He has pale skin, with faint freckles sprinkled across his nose and cheekbones. As well as freckles across his shoulders and back. He has a straight nose, the tip of which points down. His eyes are sky blue, and always seems to have a faint purple bruises under them.

He is 5'7" with a medium build. He has some wiry muscles on his upper mostly, but nothing major. He has He has a mass of brown hair, that would be straight if he would just ran a comb through it. But, being to lazy to do so, his hair is a rat's nest. It moves in many directions, sweeping across his forehead in the front, but shooting straight down on the sides, making him look as if he is wearing a helmet.

Todd struggles between doing right by himself, and doing right by others. He can't see another person suffer, so he well sacrifice his own happiness to help someone. He would give the shirt off of his back, even if it was his only one, to someone who he felt needed it more then him. He won't put his needs before anyone else's, which can lead him to starve, freeze ect.

He is fiercely loyal. He will protect his friends and family with his life. He'd even do it for complete strangers. He has a hard time hating anyone, he believes in the good in people. A person could murder someone right in front of his eyes, and Todd would believe that the murderer could be redeemed. He would even try to get the murderer to see the err of his ways.

Todd is a serious kid, having had a tough life. He doesn't really no how to let loose and have fun, nor is he comfortable with doing so. He feels that his time should be spent making money to help his family, or otherwise helping them out. Hanging around, and being idle wont get food on the table!

Todd is very stubborn, about anything and everything. Whether it is about his personal beliefs, or about what he wants someone to do. He won't change his mind about anything, even arguments where there is proof he is wrong. He isn't very emotional. He has feelings, sure, but he doesn't share what he is feeling. Well, besides anger. He gets extremely angry. He is also very dense. He is just about the most oblivious person there is. He doesn't get subtle hints, or even sarcasm.

Todd is poor, despite living in a wealthy district. His dad died when his was 8, leaving behind 7 kids. Todd was the oldest of them all, and in no way old enough to get a job to help ease the tension of finances. Todd, and the older of his siblings, 7 year-old Danny, Jackie and Jane, the twins, and Raphael who was 5, went on the streets to beg, and what they couldn't get by begging they stole.

But it wasn't enough to take care of 7 hungry kids. His mother refused to give any of them up, even if it would give them a better life, so she did what any women can do in times of crisis. She began to sell her body for profit. She was still beautiful and young, having started having children at a young age. She had many buyers. She was upgraded from prostitute to mistress of a wealthy man. He provided her a new house, clothes, and money. Though the children could not live in the house with her, she gave them all of the money she got. And when she wasn't servicing the older man, she went and stayed with he children.

It was no secret his mom was a prostitute. Many children teased him, and he didn't get many friends. But he wasn't ashamed of his mother. She was doing what she had to do to take care of her family. As soon as Todd was of working age, he dropped out of school, and worked. He wanted his mother to stop having to be a whore. His younger brother joined him.

Todd was 14 and Danny was 13 when they started going out on the ships to help with fishing. They weren't on the main crew of course, they were there to clean the boat, and help cook. Sadly, the boys were rough housing while mopping up fish parts on deck, and they fell in the water. Both boys quickly sank. They were only able to save Todd, Danny drowned. Todd has had a fear of boats and the ocean ever since.

His mother was heartbroken. She started doing drugs, and wasting away. The rich old guy found a new mistress. She returned to being a common hooker. She didn't get as many takers as before, but she made money. Most of her kids dropped out of school in order to work and make money to help the family. They were a very tight nit family, all being very close in age to each other. All but the youngest, Lumen, stayed in school.

Todd works in a shop that repairs and sells nets, among other things. He refuses to go back out on the boats, and loathes the idea of him family doing it. But they need to because that is were the most money is at. The family live in a little three room shack in a cluster of trees away from the main town.
