Lux is one of the taller girls in District 7, standing at 5ft9in and weighing in at 147lbs. She is thin due to her height/weight ratio, but being from District 7 she has handled axes for most of her life and therefore is fairly strong and has good muscle definition in her arms. Lux used to have strong legs and was a good athlete; however an accident that took place in the woods when she was 14 has caused her to walk with a slight limp and has also impaired her ability to run. The accident also left a large, unsightly scar on her left calf that has become infected several times due to lack of proper medical treatment. She also has four large red scars on her back from when she was whipped alongside her brother Lyel the day after her seventeenth birthday. These scars are never visible to anyone but Lux herself because her clothes always cover them, but most of District 7 knows about them because Lux's whipping was public.
Lux has straight blonde hair that reaches her waist and large light green/yellow eyes. Her lips are slightly thin and her eyebrows are dark brown, naturally raised in arches that give her expression a constant element of surprise. She is very pretty, although not overly beautiful; however she often appears to be messy and unkempt as she spends a fair amount of her time in the woods. She rarely gets spots and her skin is generally smooth, however she has several light red birth marks along her upper back and right arm that are noticeable in the sun, especially against her fair skin. She always wears a silver necklace with her siblings’ names, Lyel and Lane, engraved on to it. It would be her District token if she were reaped for the Hunger Games.

Lux is a very confident girl and is extremely capable of taking care of herself. She is polite and kind to most people, but has an underlying bitterness about her that she has no problem with showing if someone irritates or is rude to her.

She enjoys peace and solidarity, and favours spending her time in the forest than in the town with the other girls. She does not tend to trust easily but is very compassionate when it comes to those she loves. She tends to be awkward when it comes to social relationships and has a habit of not knowing what to say, which could be the reason why she only has a small group of friends and is not particularly popular.

She is strong-willed and is not easily deterred once she sets her mind to something, and she has also been known to give what extra food she had to the poorer people of District 7, in an effort to make sure that none of her neighbours would have to go hungry.

~ History ~

Lux is the middle child in a family of five. She has a nineteen-year-old brother, Lyel, and a thirteen-year-old sister, Lane. Her father, Winn, is a lumberjack and her mother, Coralie, is a merchant.
Lux has a very strong bond with Lyel and Lane and spends a lot of her time with them, however because Lyel is nineteen he has to go to work with their father, meaning that Lux is often left to look after Lane and the two spend their time climbing trees in the woods.

While they aren’t rich, the Everley family are one of the better-off families in District 7 and almost always have enough to eat. They are all tall for their age and have the same yellowish-green eyes and blonde hair. The family are sometimes seen around the town square in the more expensive and upscale shops, but Lux and Lyel often prefer to buy less expensive supplies so they have more to share with their neighbours. The family are considered by the community to be extremely generous, however Lux, Lyel and Winn have been publicly whipped several times by the District’s peacekeepers for crimes relating to food and giving supplies to other families.

Lux is extremely strong for someone of her stature and is able to lift heavy weights and throw them with good accuracy, although she often becomes short of breath and finds herself having to rest after exercising or doing anything strenuous for a long time. She is average at most other things and does not have any other particular talents (apart from being a skilled artist). She is a keen swimmer and has been ever since she was younger, and although she can swim extremely fast she can’t swim for long without getting out of breath.[/font]
