Uno Verren [District 7]

He is about 5'6", pretty average. He has deep green eyes that sometimes look blue. He is skinny and has a mischievous smile. He can climb trees very well, often forsaking work to play around.
He wears simple clothing, tight fitting and light, so that he can move easily. His hands are very calloused from working in the trees. Sometimes he even climbs the wooden houses around his area of the district.
He is covered in bruises, cuts and scars. Cuts from falling and fights, bruises from falling and fights, and scars from- you guessed it- falling and fights.

Uno is very clever and smart. He gets good marks in school. He is independent due to a lazy, useless father. He often does a lot of the work for his dad. He doesn't work as much as he probably should, and the few friends he does have know he is very silly.
He doesn't reveal things about himself. If he is angered, his temper can spiral out of control. He has gotten in plenty of fights with other kids.
He is sort of a loner. He isn't a mean person, but he doesn't hang out with others much. He does have a few people he can rely on, but no on with any really close ties.
He has a lot of bitterness welled up inside him. He is pretty tired of his father wasting the little money they have on alcohol and calling him useless, even though Uno does all the work. He is hardworking and defensive. He is headstrong and stubborn, and will only run away from a fight if he's sure he'll lose.

Uno was born in District Seven to Jarrel and Maleen Verren. He was the only child his parents had. They hadn't wanted him either. Not because of the imminent reaping either.
It was because they were lazy. At least, Jarrel was. The fat ass had spent only 10 years cutting trees and doing his duty. Then Maleen came along, he seduced her, and that was that. He moved into her house, she kept making them money, and Jarrel stopped working and spent all his time on the couch or watching TV.
Uno was hardworking since he could first chop wood. He loved the outdoors and spent all his time there. Money was perfectly fine while his mother worked.
Then it all changed. Luckily, Uno was old enough to work, or he and his father would've starved. Uno's mother got sick and died. His father was depressed and used almost all of the money they had saved up on alcohol. He is almost the town drunk.
Uno was always annoyed by his dad, but his mom had kept him in check. He had been building up bitterness inside him all these years.
His life sucked, to be sure. Kids made fun of him, and on the outside, he didn't seem to care. People avoided him. But the anger building up inside of him has to be let out sometime.
He wants to participate in the annual Hunger Games. He doesn't care if his dad starves to death, as his dad probably wouldn't care if he did. In his eyes, he'll win one way or another. If he loses, he doesn't have to deal with it anymore. No more teasing.
If he won, a prospect too good to be true, he would come back a hero. People would be nice and his dad might stop being a jerk.
He's been training. running, climbing, fighting, more than ever. He's ready to get into the games and kill someone. The perfect way to release his anger.
