He crept through the forest, keeping an eye out in every direction. Nothing was going to escape his sights, not today at least. His family was getting hungry and he needed food quickly. He crept through the underbrush, barely shifting the leaves as he passed. Only his dad would be able to sneak up on him but, he was gone now.
He crouched down to the ground and scanned the bushes for any signs. Another hunter or a deer may have been approaching. He just never knew. He was sweating and the cloak he was wearing didn't make it any better. He kept it on though because it was the only thing that allowed him to get a meal. He sighed, his hair falling down to cover part of his eye.
His bow was his only companion in the world, getting treated better than most of his possessions by him. It was his lifeblood, his livelihood and the only reason his family got to eat at night. He was starting to fade away and fall asleep when he heard a crunch in the woods.
A sharp intake was heard and the boys chest fell. The animal wandered into the clearing, as harmless as could be. It started eating the grass, the crunch echoing in the silence.
He pulled his bow back, using his back to avoid strain. He aimed down the shaft for a second and fired. The arrow flew, cutting through the air.
The arrow grazed the deer on the thigh and it fell to the ground. He moved up quickly, drawing his knife in the process. He leaned down and cut the throat on the deer. He was about to pick up the deer when he heard a leaf rustle the branch behind him. He picked up his bow and turned around.[/font][rand=15438253849672257525925698649478105534937294403022201900970260757]

"Munch, Munch."
