OOC: It's fine
His heart sank as he realized this wasn't her house. He looked scornfully at the rain, which was coming down harder now. He wanted to stay under this overhang where it was dry, even if it was only for just a second. He blinked and then realized it would literally be only for a second as he felt her arm start to pull his as she started running. He did his best to keep up with her as they sloshed through the rain. They were completely soaked now. Then he felt his hand slip off her arm which gave him the extra strength he needed to run fast enough to keep up with her.
He hated running with a passion, and the rain wasn't helping. The moisture was getting into his lungs and started burning making him want to cough, but he somehow kept going. He slipped several time as he kept running. He began to think that this would never end, that he would just keep chasing her through the rain forever and never catch her. He was so deep in thought that he didn't notice she had stopped, and he almost didn't notice the house she had stopped in front of.
He was able to stop himself just short of a wall. He was sure he looked ridiculous now. he was soaked and felt like he had mud smeared over his chest. The house looked nice, but Chase really didn't care how it looked. What he was really thinking was that it looked like a place that would have heat which his body desperately craved. He was freezing and soaked to the skin. She opened the door and he felt reluctant about stepping in since after after all he was soaked and covered with mud, but seeing Ari walk in made him feel better about it. He hadn't noticed until now, but she actually looked good right now. He probably should have told her that, but for the first time he felt the heat circulating through the house.
As he warmed up everything started to go back to normal. He almost felt kind of weird about staying alone with her without her parents there, but then he looked outside and decided there was nowhere else he'd rather be. He listened to her talk to him about staying there tonight. He knew that there wouldn't be any danger after the storm and that she just wanted to stay with him, but he didn't care. He actually really wanted to stay with her tonight. Then his thoughts moved to the next thing making him uncomfortable. He was soaked. He knew this would sound bad, but he really needed dry clothes. Usually he would have waited until he found a tactful way to say it, but today wasn't a normal day. "Thanks for letting me stay here. Your house looks really nice, but I was wondering are there any dry clothes for me because I'm freezing." He didn't think it sounded that bad, but even if it did he didn't care he just wanted three things: to be dry, warm, and with her.
