She sell seashells by the seashore... It's the rhyme I used to say when I was young. Well... Sort of.
I patted Flounder, my Saint Bernard dog who's playing by the sand. I sat by the seashore not caring if the sand would stick into my wet shorts again, well I'm already wet and sand is sticking everywhere anyway.
I opened my pouch that was full of shell. Pretty shells and different kinds of colored stones. I found them underwater. I smiled to Flounder as I show her the beautiful things I found. "Look what I got." She got nosy and she started to sniff the pouch and the shells. "Do you want to go home?" I asked her.
I stood up and started to brush off the sand sticking on me. I also squeeze my black shirt that was soaking wet along with my shorts. Hmm... I remembered the towel I brought, so I took it our from my bag and I started to dry my hair.
The wind was blowing hard and I was enjoying it. I gently sat on a large rock to enjoy the wind that was blowing to my face and that makes my light golden brown hair that has natural blond tips sway and dance through the air.
I whistled to get Flounder's attention who was rolling in the sand. "Here baby girl." I called. She ran happily to me and jumped on the rock where I sit. I scooted a little to make space for her. Then I started to stroke her fur. While stroking her my OCD came to me again, I look at my hands especially my nails, my perfect square shaped nails that I always file everyday, then I dismiss it, contended that they are perfectly clean and well buffed.
After an hour or so Flounder and I are dry, now we;re ready to go back home. I sling my bag to my shoulder and I was about to stand. But the open sea is really calling me. It's luring me like a magnet, I really love the sea. Sometimes I feel that maybe I'm a mermaid. Well my mom is obsess about them that's why she named us mermaid names that was derived from her name.
I wonder where my twins are... I bet they're home already. Though my mind seemed to race a lot of thoughts about life in district 4 or how my family is doing back in the main streets or at home, I was still looking at the open sea. The wind makes me lazy even to stand, and I can sense that Flounder had fallen asleep.
I guess walking with feet won't really get you far here in our place.
The sea is so wonderful...and mysterious.
