Silence Langua Burkhard
Avox
Avox
Silence turns the doorknob of the front door slowly, trying to open it without waking the man sleeping on the couch nearby. The doors here were tricky, but after watching him for a while she learned to twist and pull, not just pull. She was doing what any person her age would do if stuck inside all day long getting yelled at because they were too young to do anything. She was four now, and she knew it because the peacekeepers told her before she came here, and it made her think that maybe she could be helpful. All she wanted was to be friends with Miss and Sir. Even when she did get things right, she didn't seem to able to get their praise. Of course, what praise would an Avox get? None, though sadly it was hard for the little girl to comprehend.
She begins walking out, smart enough to know if anyone saw a four-year-old in an avox tunic walking around, they'd get suspicious. If she were a little older, she might be able to apss for playing dress-up, but when you're hat young people don't want you wlking around alone in the first place. She walked right behind people and behind bushes, avoiding those tall strong men that killed her mommy and stole her daddy. She knew what they did, she saw it happen. At one particular store she passes, there is a very colorful sign with pretty fruits and smiling people. Thinking it would be a good place too explore, she stands by the door and waits for someone to open it. When they do, she dashes in.
In the store of which she had entered, there were isles of things for her to explore. It was toddler paradise, in a sense, and immediatly she started walking down all the isles and looking at everything in her vision, which was mostly the bottom shelves, maybe the second to bottom in some places. When she enters an isle with sweets stacked what seemed a mile high, she bumped into a little girl a few inches taller than her. "Hi, I'm Sivvey," the girl says enthusiastically, holding her hand out. Silence holds her hand out shyly, and it is imediatly grabbed and shaken. "What's your name?" Sivvey asks, tolting her head. When Silence fails to answer, she skips off, finding someone else to chatter on to.
In her head, Silence was about to break down and cry. She wanted so bad to run after the girl and be her friend. Nonetheless, she keeps passing the sweet, running her fingers on all of the shelves. Out of the blue, it seems someone had kicked her, but rather they had tripped on her. She is knocked backwards, and somebody comes walking up behind her as the person falls forward, kncoking all three of them down. Silence sits on the ground for a few seconds, staring at them, then begins struggling to one of them off her legs so she could run away. Certainly they'd blame it on her and start yelling, wouldn't they?
