Name: Caroline 'Carrie' Thatch
Gender: Female
Age: 16
District: District 7
Appearance:
Carrie is a smaller construction worker, being barely 5'1 for her age. Petite, some might call her dainty as well, except that she's well-muscled for her size. Clear, hazel eyes sparkle over a arched button nose, with a pair of full lips, twisted into a smile. A smattering of freckles cross the bridge of her nose and her cheeks, and she's got a firm tan from outside work. She wears a small, leather necklace, laced into a tight braid. A ring of gold rests on it, and from that, a diamond-shaped green stone, like an emerald, can be seen.
Personality:
Carrie is a hard-working honest woman with a bit of a story-filled mind. At sixteen, she's already quite mature for her age, working in the carpentry business with her father. She's a bit forgetful at times, not exactly unfortunate, but she puts herself to hard work to come over that small weakness. Caroline does tend to do things her own way, for she can be firmly, uncomprehendingly stubborn. This had led to strife between herself and her family and friends, but for all of that, she's a bit of a loner - not very friendly, but enough. She's got one or two good friends, her family, and Carrie survives.
History:
Carrie is the oldest daughter - and the only child of carpenter Riell and her mother, a experienced wood-stainer Casey. As their only child, Caroline went to school and was taught by both mother and father to become more experienced in both forms of woodwooking and carpentry. She was at a young age when they noticed her fine and delicate ability to do intricate woodwork, being able to whittle small objects and curiosities that could be sold to support her family. When Carrie was eight, however, her mother died in a faulty carpentry accident. As Caroline was quite close to her mother, she was crestfallen and sad over the fact that her closest confidante had, unfortunately, disappeared from her life. Left alone with just her da' in their small house, Carrie moped for awhile; however, a few years later, she started creating her small knick-nacks again, to help support the pair.
Now, a few years after that, Caroline has become rather gifted in the art, and thanks to her size and height, she's often entrusted to explore and get up to the top of taller structures to perform intricate work or repair. She's okay with this though, however troubled she might be at the Reapings she's been through for the past three years. She's tired of losing her friends; because of that, she holds Reapings with great, worried regard. For now, however, she just works.. and works... and works, and regards life for what it is.
