{Appearance}

Particularly after the Reaping, Owen was often told that he resembled Alexander. He found it odd that his half-sibling suddenly looked like him, when they'd never shared much of a resemblance when she was Phoebe. He's actually taller, at 5'8" now 6'1", but equally skinny, with darker hair but similar ice blue eyes.

{Personality}

Though Owen resented how Alexander was so bossy and demanding, he admired her all the same. He's much more of a loose cannon than the previous household heads, more defiant of authority, more blunt and abrasive. Less mature, perhaps, but he still does his job well enough.

{History}

Like his late older brother and late older sister, Alex and Alexander Hood respectively, Owen Rook was thrust into full-time duty at the still-too-young age of fourteen. Of course, before Alexander was reaped, Owen still spent much of his time looking after the kids and the house — and, when he could spare a moment, foraging for greens to supplement the food bought with Alexander's wages — though he was still allowed go to school most days. He was a busy boy then, but he still had time for himself. After, however, their two-cent whore of a mother naturally continued to refuse any responsibility in caring for her children, and Owen was too young and therefore unable to find work in the sawmill like Alexander had, and with the Alexander in the top 8 and the family falling under scrutiny from the Capitol, the siblings were moved into a community home.

Life there was no better or no worse for his younger siblings, but Owen caught a nice break. Maybe he'd failed Alex and Alexander, who'd worked so hard to keep the family together in their own house, and maybe he was selfish to want a different life than his ill brother and worked-to-death sister before him, but Owen Rook regretted nothing.
