Haysel Dryfire
Everybody's waitin

Everybody's watchin
To see the fallout
Even when your sleepin sleepin
Keep your eye-eyes open

Haysels feet crunched on the newly fallen autumn leaves as she headed away from the camp where she had stayed with Harmony and Caldwell. Winter was at her side as they walked. He was now a wanderer. She felt a soft pressure on her hand and looked down to see that he was holding her hand. She looked up at him and smiled. She liked Winter a lot. They had been friends since they were little kids and he had never betrayed her. She kept her hand in his as they walked along the quiet forest. The autumn leaves turned the tree tops gold and copper as they walked. Mockingjays sang sweetly and Haysel whistled a tune to them. Soon her song was being bounced around the forest with harmonies and Descants and melodies all making up a lovely orchestra of sound. She smiled, happy to have Winter at her side and the mockingjays above her. She felt free. She also felt slightly guilty for having left Harmony with Caldwell but she'd had no choice. She couldn't stay in one place for too long. They continued to walk hand in hand.
As dusk neared, the air around them grew colder. She shivered in cold as icy wind cut through her like a knife. She knew that winter was coming and that they would need to stop in the districts for more supplies but they couldn't yet because they were still searching for Winter, when all the commotion calmed down, they would get what they needed. Until then, they would have to tough it out. Winter, seeming to sense her coldness, stopped and suggested that they make camp for the night. She nodded and they set to work building a quick shelter and collecting firewood. Before long, Winter managed to coax a good fire going and she sat near the warm tongues of flames, allowing feeling to return to her freezing body. Suddenly, she heard a twig snap and her head whipped up just in time to see a figure standing just beyond the fires warm light. "Who's there?" She called.[/center]
