Name: Charlotte Smith (Charlie)
Age: 18
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 6
Appearance:
Everyone’s first instinct is to judge a new person before the first word is even said; determined by their body disposition, fashion, and most importantly how they carry themselves. Physically is was difficult for Charlie to pull of the intimidation she desired, standing at a short 5’1 with no weight to make up for it from lack of food and an unhealthy lifestyle there was nothing that screamed trouble, at least from far away. Once up close the scrawny arms and legs are actually toned with muscles and bring the second guess if that was someone you were truly willing to mess with. Short blonde hair dangles over her forehead when not gelled up, perfectly framing the sharp oval face and revealing the first indications of age. Looking into the crystal eyes, that changed depending on mood; you would never witness an eighteen year old further from her childhood, though that’s not what drains her youth.Personality:
It was what Charlie called her medicine though it never had any specifics; it varied to whatever she could get her hands on in order to cover her pain. It fed hunger, gave energy and happiness, but completely shattered Charlie’s youth to instead look in her early twenties. This helped with performance nights and getting into anywhere she desired, though an unhealthy lifestyle held its faults. With such a need to over-confiscate extreme fashion and make-up filled Charlie’s image, but how could she afford such when she couldn’t even feed herself? Numerous scars could be found from the results of such a daring life; finding food outside the district, the rare times of being caught during a crime, and of course the dangerous music industry. But with no concern over herself, it wouldn’t be a surprise if some of the scars came from Charlie herself from lack of self-respect.
Living like there’s no tomorrow was the only motto that Charlie lived by, simply because she had such an understanding of the world around her. The light eyes reflected a young eighteen year old further from her innocence then any other. Some day the others in her district may decide to riot, the capitol taking the smallest threat into high consideration, everyone including young Charlie would be punished simply out of associating of living within the same boundaries as the idiots believing they could rebel. Certainly Charlie was no saint for the capitol, but the complete opposite, just knew exactly how not to get caught. The idea of a miraculous change seemed completely ridicules, and Charlie constantly grew annoyed of other’s who believed differently.History:
Just because Charlie refused, no looked down upon, the one’s that talked about fighting back, didn’t mean she didn’t have her own way of being malicious to the capitol. With the need for survival Charlie was occasionally beyond the fence in hunt for game to fill her own empty stomach on account she was the only one hardly fed. It was a giant risk taker but Charlie was brought into law breaking from the very beginning. Shortly it grew into a craving for Charlie to live on the edge, constantly doing exactly the opposite of what’s accepted even when her finances became at ease, she had to have the rush. This wasn’t the best for the one in charge and told to take care of her younger siblings, but Charlie couldn’t stay away.
There was one sweet thing about Charlie that only her fortunate siblings heard, her voice that escaped for their entertainment; when sick, bored, or bed time, Charlie would take out her guitar and her magical songs to sooth them against all terrors of the real world. Until the day her voice escaped to the outside world, around a few drinks at the bar of course, and where the financial troubles were fixed. Obviously that didn’t break Charlie’s addiction to the criminal life, but in fact enhanced it as the music industry often does. Still attempting to manage to care for the youngsters, Charlie couldn’t stay away from the drug market to feed her desires. It wasn’t the healthiest but gave the performer the ability and power to amaze her audience and keep the fights to receive the little enjoyment this cruel world had left to offer.
Down a dirt path, a bit from civilization lived a Physiologist who went by the name Dr. Smith. The outskirt was exactly the location he desired in order to examine the population. With such a need of understanding personalities and identifications Dr. Smith desired to create his image of the perfect family. After much research, just observations weren’t enough and he needed to proceed with experimenting with his offsprings. The only issue faced was wanting a beautiful mother for each of his children, and to also bring different genetics into play as well. Of course no women would accept such experiments, and after each mother displayed the same reaction of not settling to go home without their baby as well as keep a secret Dr. Smith had to dispose of each of them.Codeword: odair
The first out-come brought a healthy, adorable baby girl. But that was not Dr. Smith’s plan of having the oldest a son to watch over his younger siblings; unable to kill his daughter as he did to her mother he decided to create The Rebel of the family. With a knife handed to her at an early age the troubled daredevil was formed and named Charlotte though no one would recommend using that title. As early as the first day of school Charlie produced trouble, to soon bring a regular craving. It wasn’t only the training of fighting from early on, but the distances from her family as soon as the younger siblings were brought in one by one. With smaller portions of food, constant trips out, and punishment being banned from the house for days it was no wonder Charlie had such a disconnect from caring about things.
Around the age of eight Charlie came across one of her Father’s pregnant victims and was the first to discover his intentions. They were brought from other districts to produce a child, receive money for their time and contribution to be sent back home. This brought distrust from her Father with concern of his daughter figuring out the truth, pushing Charlie even further from her family. As a result she was given even lower portions of food, and her slim acceptance to none. With knowledge of her life only being an experiment, a daily party life with no worries over the next day was Charlie’s coping method. She lost concern in caring for herself or anything else for that matter, and in her early teen years her unhealthy lifestyle began.
Over a few beers at the local bar, Charlie’s voice was discovered by the small music industry, which was no surprise on account it went hand-in-hand with the drug life. Occasional performances filled Charlie’s time away from home, and of course her empty pocket and stomach. One would believe money would pull someone away from their life of trouble, but for Charlie only enhanced it. Drugs, alcohol, crime, escaping beyond the fence, singing and fights toke up the young girl’s days and nights… until one of her trips beyond the limits in search of food. Charlie came across her Father’s burial ground for each of his children’s mother. With no connection to her family, for the first time Charlie did the right thing and anonymously turned her Father in with no clue of what the outcome could hold. The custody over the younger siblings was granted to Charlotte Smith, after their Father was hand-cuffed and sent away forever. The furthest person with knowledge of how to care for someone, especially children that never received the comfort of their mother.
