Aoife Griffin- District 4

Personality:
Aoife prefers to generally avoid other people as she is mistrustful of all but her closest friends and resists any attempts at intimacy or close acquaintance. Despite this she does not come across shy rather to most she is flirty or feisty depending on first impressions. Around her friends, however, she displays a more serious nature. She likes to discuss fantasies of rebellion or running away although she is the first to dispel any suggestions that such romantic notions might be real. Her friends accredit her with wisdom and usually go to her first for advice. If you were to see Aoife at school you could be forgiven for thinking she was a mute, she says very little and avoids contact with her classmates. She has a sharp mind which allows her to complete all work effectively.

She has a naturally passionate nature, bordering on obsessive. She is short-tempered with everyone, particularly herself; this however gives her a generous heart, usually placing others before herself.

Her ambition and passion usually makes Aoife the first to try new things and the last to accept defeat. Her actions are often spontaneous and irrational, partly accounting for her inability to form close relationships as well as regularly leading her into trouble.

History:
Aoife's childhood was relatively uninteresting in terms of extraordinary events. She was taught the fishing trade from an early age much like other children in her district.

The reason for her slightly antisocial nature is her parents; though both did the best they could they found it difficult to establish any closeness as both lost younger siblings in the games leaving their childhoods somewhat scarred. Aoife would very much like a boy to herself although she is yet to meet one who is able to break down the barriers she has placed around herself.

Aoife rather unwillingly trains for the hunger games. Like many in her district she harbours a deep hatred for the capitol and so has little dedication to her training. She relies on her natural agility and proficiency with a bow and arrow to get her through. Aoife often aspires to run away from panem although she realises it's impractical with family keeping her in her District as well as survival skills that are no more than mediocre.
