Ryanna Lynn Fansher - District 11

Ryanna is average size girl for her age in her district. She is 5'2" and weighs about 110 pounds. Just like everyone else in her district she doesn't get enough to eat and is smaller then she should be. She has long brown hair that she doesn't cut very often. She loves her hair, but she hates it in her face so she wears it in a pony tail most often.

She has piercing green eyes. They are an amazing color, but when she looks at you it feels like she is looking into your soul. Her clothes are very plain and usually consists of black pants, black shoes, and a white t-shirt that has turned brown from all the dirt. She most generally only washes her clothes twice a month so her parents can save their water for drinking rather then washing their clothes every night. She has two pairs of pants and shirts that last her throughout the month. She also has a nice pink dress for special occasions, like the reaping.

She is strong from working on the ground all day. The strongest part of her body is her arms, but her legs are also since she walks all day. She is able to endure many things, especially heat. Summer is the worst time to work in the fields because the sun beats down on you all day, but she has gotten used to it. She is also very fast. Running is something she loves to do and she does it quite well.

Ryanna is very closed off. She doesn't let other people into her life very often. That doesn't mean she doesn't have friends, but that very few of her friends have seen the inside of her house or heard her deepest, darkest secrets. She is also very stubborn. She likes to do things her way even if another way is better. Pride gets in her way all of the time.

Though her flaws seem pretty bad, her traits make up for it. She has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh. She also would do anything for her family. Both her parents are still alive and she has two siblings. Her brother is 20 years old and works on the farm their father works at. Her sister is 10 years old and stays home with their mother after they get out of school. Ryanna has to help her dad in the fields after school. She is a very hard worker because she believes the harder she works the more money she will make for her family.

She is not a morning person at all. When her mother wakes her up she lays in bed for another ten minutes, which makes her rushed to get ready for school but she won't give those extra ten minutes up. After she is fully awake, which takes a few hours, she is very loud like her father. She can't move or talk quietly to save her life. She also enjoys to write in a journal. Paper and pencil is very hard to come by, but when she is able to get some she writes on every bit of that paper. Her thoughts and feelings go on those few sheets. She wishes she could be a writer when she grows up, but she knows where her future lies. She will always work in the fields with her father until she gets married then she will keep house while her husband goes out to the field.

Ryanna doesn't have too much of an interesting past. She was born in District 11 and will live there her entire life. She is the second born in her family, with her brother being the first. She was a whiny baby so her brother didn't like her very much. They aren't that close now. She was 5 when her sister was born, but she loved her sister more then her brother loved her when she was born. She was always helping her mother around the house with the baby. She always wanted to hold her or put her to sleep. That is probably why they are so close now.

Her mother and her father had an arranged marriage, but they love each other all the same. They are complete opposites though. Her father is loud and very enjoyable to be around while her mother is very quiet and meek. They balance each other out well. Her father brings in the money by working in the field and her mother keeps the house and watches her sister.

When she was a child she was very trusting and was friends with everyone. She showed her best friend her journal and her friend went and showed everyone else. Ryanna wrote her feelings, hopes, and dreams (though some of them were silly) on those sheets of paper and it upset her when her friend showed everyone. Ever since then Ryanna has never showed anyone, not even her family, the journal and she has never trusted anyone so fully ever again.
