District/Area: District 12
Appearance:
Peprika has jet black hair that falls to a few inches below her shoulders in tight, zig-zag curls. She keeps it down all the time, tucked neatly behind her. She has a thing for keeping it neat, and brushes it every day. It goes around her head smoothly, and part, no matter how much she protests, is always falling in her eyes. She tried to push it away, but notmally falls back immediatly.Personality:
Her face is covered in enough freckles they can be counted, but not so few it's not called freckles. Her eyes are a light brown, and her eyelashes are long.
Peprika is scrawny and weak with light tan skin and long legs. She's a fast runner. She is a little shorter than her friends, but stilll manages to beat them miserably. No one really likes racing her.
Peprika has severely large ears. People joke about them, and she tries to hide it. She usually does a pretty good job hiding it, but her love for hair behind her ears gets in her way. So, mostly, people get to laugh at them. She also has a humongous scar on her lower leg from getting burned on a class trip to the mines. She usually hides it with her skirt.
Speaking of which, Peprika is usually wearing a brown shirt and a skirt that reaches between her knees and ankles. Sometimes, she wears loose-fitting pants, for she prefers comfortable clothing.
Peprika is a defiant, spunky girl. She dreams of beginning a rebellion, and often tries. She's never been caought, but often fails at her attmepts. She believes the capitol is against everyone, even her family. She is an only child, and is cared for by her mother and grandmother. Her father was given a restraining order from the house, they had worked hard to keep him away.History:
Peprika loves making friends, but loses most the second she mentions a rebellion. She has commitment issues, and can't always keep her friends and enemies stright.
Peprika is intelligent, and has a very creative and flexible mind. She's willing to change, and mold into the ideas of others; if it means beginning a rebellion. A rebellion: Her obsession.
Peprika gets snappy around non-rebellion believers, and has no patienc whatsoever with them. She fight and scream, she even punched a boy for trying to turn her in. She gets pretty stubborn then, and refuses to do anything for them. Some might say she's a severe hot-head.
Peprika was born to Lavender and Warner Keaisk. Her father, Warner, often came home raving mad, and tried to drown poor Peprika. Immediately, her mother scrimped up money to keep him away. They changed their last name back to her mother's maiden, Willoughby. Her mother called her grandmother and she lived with them. They took care of themselves well, and her mother worked in the mines. Her grandmother, on the other hand, worked selling anything she could find for low prices.Codeword: oDair
When Peprika was 7, she was going on the annual trip to the mines. She was wandering off in an opposite direction from her partner, and when a small fire broke out, she scalded her leg harshly. It never went away, and she still questions why it doesn’t.
Peprika grew up in her family, living a normal life, but when she heard kids talking at school about the injustices of the capitol, she began to agree. They plotted, but were caught and shipped away before Peprika could say one word. She had been in extra math at the time.
She mourned for a bit, and then moved on. Feeling an extra fire for a rebellion, she began trying to begin one, yelling insanities at the Mayer, and dodging peacekeepers. Eventually, the Mayor grew tired of this constant chase, and punished her.
They had found her one day at the square, literally yelling for people to open their eyes. They caught her and dragged her, kicking, screaming, and biting to the stocks. She stood there for two hours, yelling at the peacekeepers, and then they forced her mouth shut. They tied her mouth closed and left her there for another hour. Then they let her out.
She stopped being so forward about it and only talked about it with people who showed interest. She hated those 3 hours, and doesn’t want to relive them. She did have to do it again, twice more, because people ratted her out.
Now, at age 14, she is still looking for someone to join her in her rebellion. She has been waiting for a long time to use her strength for real. She is serious. A rebellion, Is not a joking matter.
