Spending time with a beautiful girl, who is obviously interested in me, otherwise she wouldn't bring me food, is the best thing that had happened to me in ages.
I catch the beer in mid air and nod at it. "Honey brow, my favourite." I uncap it on the edge of the crate and have a quick sip, that I savour in my mouth for a monet. It's delicious, especially after a long day of work. "Ahhh, awesome."
Then she hands me a sandwich and soon her own but I hand that right back to her. "No way, I'm not eating yours. You worked hard as well...or are you one of those girls who live of a few berries and leafs?" I enquire because I used to date chicks like that, who drove me wild because they tought they were too fat.
"Eat your sandwich. I'd feel weird eating alone."
Carefully I unwrap it and look at the soft bread and delicious cold meat. It makes my mouth water so I take a big bit and chew it as long as I can.
When I look out at the city I notice how the orange sun is about to set behind a row of buildings. Our shoulders are touching and I can feel her move a little so I turn my head to take in her appearance. The sun puts a nice warm light on her skin and I can't help but say. "Wow."
Then I swallow my bite and take another one.
"Tell me a bit about yourself...am I going to duck it out with an angry boyfriend or brother because of your hospitality?" Of course I want to know whether she's taken or has protective siblings because I've had a run in with an angry brother before.
"In case you're wondering...there's nobody waiting for me at home. Just an empty apartment." Nice line, maybe she wants to fill that empty apartment.
