Its freezing out, Why do I have to be outside? He thought as a cold breeze cut like a knife through his jacket. He was cold. It wasn't normal for him to be cold. He walked towards his meating place with his best friend, Nikki. Nikki, such an amazing girl. Why don't my parents approve of her? He wondered. His parents didn't approve of Nikki, probably because she distracted him from getting to know the girl he was supposed to marry. He hated that girl, he didn't know why but he did. She was the only thing keeping him from being happy with Nikki. He paused for a moment, his soft breath billowing in front of him in the cold November air. He couldn't remember the last time he was cold. He was always warm when he was with Nikki. He continued walking. His footsteps echoed on the pavement as he hurried towards the meating place. As he reached the spot, he saw his best friend waiting for him, her hood drawn up close to her face against the cold and her breath billowing out. He smiled and quickened his pace. He embraced her tightly, loving the feeling of her body against his. "Hi Jay" She said, looking up at him. He smiled. "Hey Nikki" he said. She let go of him and they looked at each other for a short time."So, what shall we do today?" she asked. "I don't know, what do you feel like doing?" he asked. She shrugged. He thought for a moment before knowing what they could do that day. He took her hand and led her toward his idea.
When they arrived, he paused for a few moments. They were at one of his favorite spots, a park he had found a few years before. It was beautiful, or atleast it's beautiful during summer. Now, in the middle of November, the trees were nothing more than bare branches. The leaves had all fallen to the ground, making the piles perfect for jumping in. He looked at Nikki, the idea of playing in the leaves almost too good to pass up. He noticed that she was already a step ahead of him. He dodged just in time to miss getting a face full of leaves. She giggled as he threw a handful of leaves at her. She just about got a faceful of leaves. "Hey!" she protested as he tackled her. They fell to the ground, him on top of her, and landed in a pile of leaves. She giggled and he laughed. Her hair splayed out around her in the leaves, she was beautiful. They laid face to face for a few moments before a voice broke through his thoughts. "What are you doing?" A shrill voice asked as a figure appeared in his peripheral vision. He sighed and they got up. He turned to face the girl he was supposed to marry. "What do you want Delany?" he asked. The girl before him looked at Nikki in disdain. "Come on, Jay bear, lets leave this peasant." Delany said. Nikki shook her head. "Go, I'm keeping you from your parents wishes" she said. He looked at her with sadness. "I'll see you tomorrow, Nikki" he said, following Delany away. He looked back at the girl of his dreams befor Delany pulled his shoulder away.
I looked back as Jay disappeared from view with that Witch he called his future fiance. I hated her. She was an absolute cow. We'd been so close to kissing, I could feel it. I love Jay. If only that girl wouldn't get in my way of being with him, I'd be happy. I walked along the path back towards home, drawing my hood up over my face against the cold. My footsteps echoed on the pavement as I walked, not paying attention to where I was going. "Whoa, watch it there." a voice said. I looked up to see who it was.
ooc:I'm gonna be writing in role as both Jay and Nikki for now because I think it will be more interesting to see what happens to Nikki, If someone wants to join as the person Nikki walked into, feel free.

What's it like in New York City?
I'm a thousand miles away
But girl, tonight you look so pretty
