Last year I was going to try having this plot but then I got atrociously busy before it came into fruition — this year I'd like to see it though to completion (in the form of a blitz-plot)
Most of us are probably familiar with How The Grinch Stole Christmas; this rendition takes place in the career-filled, stone mining District 2, where getting coal on your doorstep (or, Ripred forbid, in your stockings or boots) is an insult in the highest — after all, aside from the early half of the past decade, there is no better way of calling a prideful Career worthless than equating them to the lowly District 12.
Enter the Grinch. Having been raised from toddlerhood by his abusive scrooge of an uncle, Ares Elder [Aya] has never gotten much more for the winter holidays than a few lumps — and not of coal, mind you. Bitter and scheming, he's decided that if he can't have a happy, present-filled holiday, none of the other denizens of District Two should have the same privilege. Despite the insistence of the Moral Center {i.e. Max}, Character [playedby], Mr. Grinch has rounded up a group of like-minded careers (preferably the lower-income, stray dog sort) to do the following for the holiday season:
-Ransack
-Vandalize
-Steal presents
-Terrorize small children and literally take candy from a baby
(-Other ideas?)
A sappy christmas change-of-heart will be optionalread: not sure if it'll happen, depending on how the plot goesin which case a Young, Pure-hearted Child {i.e. Cindy Lou Who} will also be required.
Open Plot Spots:
Moral Center, i.e., Max
Band of Corrupt Reindeeror whatever, or, Bitter/Evil Careers
Young, Pure-hearted Child, i.e., Cindy Lou Who
Anyone willing to offer themselves up as a victim
Anyone with other ideas/other characters to work in
Depending on interest, I'll put up the first blitz thread between Thursday and Saturday, and we'll see what we can do to stick to a timeline. That said: Interest?
