Do you hear the people sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes!Out in the District Eight, there are a people singing a song of angry men. They may come from different places and are of different people, but they are connected, and surely some of them desire to rid themselves of the Capitol. Yet there are relationships and turns and twists within.
Of course, there are the others who want to keep the status quo, and see these people in District Eight as just young men who are up to no good. They wish to bring these revolutionaries to justice, and rid Panem of the small threat that exists from this small group.
Will they create something more, or will it just be a blip on a radar.
Just one day more.

The CharactersJean Valjean (50, Male)Jean Valjean, masquerading as a different name now, was born in District Twelve, and grew up there, avoiding being reaped, luckily. He lived in extreme poverty, and was caught stealing for his starving niece. That got him sent to the Detention Center, where he tried to escape and was stuck in it for longer. When he finally got out of the Detention Center, Valjean tried to steal again so that he could set up a better life for his kids, but the man he stole from let Valjean take his goods when Valjean was caught by the police. This made Valjean an honorable and dignified man who wished to improve his situation, so he moved to District Eight, and he has become fairly well off in that District. He now cares for Cosette in the place of Fantine, who he has taken off the hands of Thénardier.
Fantine (36, Female)Fantine was born in District Eight and grew up there, working in a sewing factory for a while. When she was twenty years old, she had a fling with a man from the Capitol who left Fantine when he found out she was pregnant with Cosette. Fantine was unable to care for Fantine herself, so she gave her to the innkeeper Thénardier and his madame. After turning to prostitution for years, she wishes to see her daughter again, but is challenged by her near insanity, depression, disease in her attempt to find her daughter within the district.
Cosette (16, Female)Cosette is the daughter of Fantine, and because Fantine was unable to care for Cosette, she gave Cosette to Thénardier to raise her. Cosette was abused and treated like a slave by Thénardier until Jean Valjean met Fantine who asked him to care for her daughter eight years ago. Now Cosette lives with Valjean, and is a beautiful, fairly well-educated, and charming young girl. Albeit, she is a bit selfish. She is also in love with Marius.
Marius Pontmercy (17, Male)Marius is one of the leaders of the revolutionaries, but he manages to avoid the peacekeepers through cunning ways. He is young, handsome, and in love with Cosette, yet he cannot come to talking to her. He is shy in this way, although outgoing about the revolution. He hopes that she notices him this way. Also, Marius is from a fairly well-off family.
Éponine (17, Female)Éponine is the daughter of Thénardier, and she happens to also be in love with Marius. She is not from the class of Cosette or Marius, and her love barely manages to notice her, which saddens Éponine greatly, because she seems to always be on her own.
Enjolras (18, Male)Enjolras is great friends with Marius, and is also one of the lead revolutionaries. He is a natural leader, but also arrogant and overly optimistic about the chances of his and Marius' attempt at a revolution. He has great charism and really is the leader of the Revolutionary cause.
Javert (40, Male, Peacekeeper)Javert was born to a poor man in District Two, and a prostitute. He has always had a strict moral code, either you are a patron of the law or you are against it. There is no gray area, you are either on one side of the law or the other. His morals are inflexible, and he is absolutely rigid, and he seeks blind justice. That is why he cannot ever think that Valjean is a good man. He is constantly searching for Valjean (who he met in the detention center) after Valjean broke his parole and left District Twelve. He can see Valjean as only evil, and not good at all. Obviously, Javert is the antagonist to Valjean.
Thénardier (38, Male)Thénardier is the father of Éponine, and husband of Madame Thénardier. He is the owner of the inn in District Eight, and he often cons people out of money with his Madame. He works as a spy for Javert because he believes it is in his best interest to get on Javert's good side, so he can keep his con inn going. He is rather humorous, and completely immoral.
Madame Thénardier (39, Female)Madame Thénardier, much like her husband, takes part in the con of their inn. She and her husband abused Cosette until Valjean, masquerading as someone else (as he has been for a long time) paid a large sum of cash to take her as his own. She is immoral, much like her husband, but she does not report to Javert. She is just interested in making more money, partially for herself, and partially for Éponine.
Best of luck to everyone applying!
