District one is known for many things. Its luxury items, ruthless careers, and massive families, both in terms of wealth and in number of children. Another thing that the 1st district of Panem is known for is its lack of empathy and compassion for the weak. Less so for those within it that don't measure up to their standards. This is the story of one of those families. One that held the attention of those far beneath them, yet somehow found themselves cast down to wallow amidst the peasants in ways that didn't befit their station at all. This is the tale of the Drake family's fall from grace, and their eventual rise to power like the phoenix of old.

As one of the oldest families in district one, the Drake's made their fortune in cosmetics, all kinds of dyes and makeups, creams, and skincare items, the distinctive dragon shaped logo stamped on everything that came out of their factory. A popular hit, especially with the Capitol, they enjoyed much monetary gain over several decades and generations. That is, until control of the company fell to Ronald Drake. There was something not quite right about him, which began with the company losing profits and culminated in both their place of business and their large home. Ronald lost his life in that fire, as well as being responsible for the deaths of most of his family. Only two children, the two youngest, survived that blaze to be shuffled into the orphanage system. Their family name has suffered much because of their fathers actions, not even counting the fact that they all the remain of the once prestigious Drake family. But a plan is being hatched even now...

The Characters

Danielle Drake -16 (Daenerys Targaryen) as played by South
The youngest of the Drake brood, Dany is a complication and a contradiction. She had a very troubled childhood, having lived eight years in a group home with less than savory company. If it wasn't already enough for the staff to mistreat her, her relationship with her older brother has always been one of a loving hatred. He has filled her head with talk of what he plans to do. To restart the company by first taking out their biggest competitors and once again have the Drake name mean something. She believes him and trusts yet detests him for what he has done to her in the dead of night, away from prying eyes and ears. She has promised herself that the Drake name will rise, but that her brother will fail to see it. She is the queen bee around the group home, helping who she wishes in a form of misguided mercy and harming those who earn her ire. Dany is a stunning example of genetics, having inherited the best from both sides of her family.

Victor Drake -18 [Viserys Targaryen] as played by Cass
Danielle's older brother, Victor is a seething cesspool of maniacal thinking, diabolical planning and an unhealthy obsession with his sister's physical attributes. He believes that she is a pawn to be used as he sees fit, having sold her body on several occasions to garner information from unscrupulous people. Cruel, and conniving he nevertheless tries to reserve his affections for her. He is disliked by all the rest of the teens that live around them. He often butts heads with Kendrick about who is really in control when the peacekeepers and the staff aren't watching. He holds himself in high esteem and often acts highly upper crusty for an orphan boy that sometimes wanders the streets, trading his sister and a few of the other girls in the home for money and spending it on what he claims is a retribution fund to reclaim his fathers company. In reality, it is to hide his growing addiction to morphling.

Josiah Rayner- 17 (Jorah Mormont) - Played by Charade
Though coming from much better stock than the Drake's or their cronies Josiah is the embodiment of a kid that has fallen into company with the wrong crowd. He is belittled and mocked by most of them for both his fine clothes and his lack of musculature. Despite that, he has become Danielle's closest confidant and perhaps her only friend. His tailoring skills have been put to good use into designing alluring outfits for the girls to wear. Josiah lives with three constant fears as he hangs out with this crowd. The first being his parents mortification if they found him in such company, and the second being his "friends" deciding he was of no further use and getting rid of him. The third and most touchy fear is that he secretly harbors feelings for Danielle. He's in love with her, but she cannot see it, regarding him as the older brother Victor should have been but wasn't. Josiah knows this, as so keeps his feeling concealed from everyone. Most of their activities are kept a secret from him, as having him in their back pocket allows them to stay at his house to conduct business when his parents aren't home, as well as get their hands on good food and the occasional medkit. He suspects that they might be more than the "Entertainment Troupe" they claim they are, but he tells himself not to make a mountain out of a molehill.


Kendrick Draper - 18 (Khal Drogo) as played by Chaos
Brawn. Brains. A vicious double whammy for any career to have, but none more so than Kendrick Draper, "Stallion" to his friends. Powerfully built and sharp as as the double knives he keeps concealed in his pants, Kendrick is a force to be reckoned with. At the age of eighteen, he's already served two stints in the detention center, one at the age of twelve for breaking into a store and ruining several hundred dollars worth of merchandise by throwing into the gutter and ripping them up, and another at the age of fifteen for beating another child senseless. What his motivations and his past are mysteries to those he runs with, his fellow wards of the state that with him, form a career group titled The Wrath Pack. Suffice to say that he does not tolerate stupidity, weakness or the rich. He harbors much hate for the glorified peacocks that run the district, and would like nothing more to see it all descend into chaos. The only girl that was ever able to mollify his fury is his beloved lover Danielle. He does not approve of Victor's methods, but is willing to let them slide as long as he gets what Victor promised him when they were younger. Total. Anarchy. While he knows of the shadowy business the other boy runs, he is unaware of what Victor has personally done to Danielle. If he was, nothing in Panem would stop him from destroying the Drake boy.

Dorothy Manovi -18 (Dorothea) as played by Rosetta
One of Victor's "Companions for Hire", Dorothy has always been a conniving temptress with a sultry yet surly demeanor. She could care less for anything her "boss" would want to say, seeing him as a loathsome toad, much as she percieves much of the men she has to deal with in the line of work she's found herself beholden to. No, Dorothy cares little for that, its simply an easy way for her to make money. She'd much rather spend her time pursuing more attractive people. Such as Danielle. She's been at it much longer than the other girl, even though she's only a few years older, and she's taught what she knows about the trade to Danielle and Irene whilst playfully flirting and trying to get Dany to realize that she wants her. Dorothy does as she wants and apologizes for nothing. After all, A high class ho is still a ho. Who knows? She might be planning to sell out this operation to the peacekeepers for money.


Iris Myden-15 (Irri) - waiting on bio
Shy, and regrettably, easily manipulated, Iris was forced into this life by Victor around the same time as Danielle was, but put up much less of a fight about it. A quiet girl, she has a very big heart, and although she can be a tad over emotional at times, she just wants everyone around her to be happy. She is physically beaten by some of the boys on occasion, due to her mousy nature and unwillingness to stand up for herself. She has a crush on Jeff, who she sees as a knight in shining armor, Jeff having stood up for her more than once. But she's too afraid to tell him how she feels, especially since she knows he has a major attraction to Dorothy. Iris tries to keep the peace in the orphanage, which can be easy at times since the staff rarely pays attention to any of them unless its a reaping day.

Arturo Bludd- 17 (Aggo) - waiting on bio
One-third of the Stallions Wrath Pack, Arturo, or "Bludd" as he is commonly referred to by the others, is little more than a common thug, unable to see beyond his next action, and relying on Victor or Kendrick to do his thinking for him. He has no great designs or plans for his future. He just likes hurting people. As a parentless career, he's had much time to hone his skills. He has a penchant for story-telling, his favorite tall tale being that the Morenos once tried to adopt him, but he scared them too bad with all the ways he knows how to inflict pain. Whether this is true or not, while Artie is not exactly a force to be reckoned with, its still worth it to watch your back when in his company.

Jeff Ryder-16 (Rakharo) as played by Greenbeads
The last of these young criminals, Jeff is probably the most honorable. While's he committed his share of crimes, he draws the line at harming women or the elderly. He does not care for what the others have done to the girls, but knows that a group this powerful would be better as an ally than as enemies, especially as the winds of fortune seem likely to blow in an unfavorable direction at any time. He finds Dorothy attractive and has remarked on this fact several times, even though she won't as much as give him the time of day. Jeff keeps an open mind about most of their dealings, but will often be nowhere to be found during some of their activities. He will appear when they are in need, with no explanation for his absence.
