Lalia Wants D8 Threads + Library Plot Idea?

The Konstantine family in District Eight is my pet project. It's a family of three siblings based not only off my real life siblings and I, but also some of my favorite books and book concepts. They run the local library and live in the apartment above it.





ANDORRA SHILOH KONSTANTINE // HOUSE OF LEAVES

Andorra is based off Mark Z. Danielewski's House Of Leaves, except instead of being lost in a labyrinthine house, she's lost in her own imagination and is in love with the Man In The Moon. I'm going to attempt to write her posts in the same format as her bio: a maze of footnotes and asides. She is energetic and outgoing when she can get out of her own head, but often feels ignored and so she finds ways to amuse herself instead.



CHARLOTTE "CHARLIE" KONSTANTINE // PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER
(Female, 17, Moon Geun Young FC)

Charlie is based off Stephen Chbosky's Perks Of Being A Wallflower, except instead of writing letters containing all her secrets to a stranger, she writes her letters in the margins and between the text of the most neglected, forgotten library books she can find. She's also blatantly based off me. I'm going to attempt to write her posts in the same format as her bio: first person letters. She has a blood disease and is often frustrated by her own limitations, yet because of them she tends to appreciate small moments more than most people. She is often incredibly melodramatic in her own head, but tries to downplay everything to the people around her.



NIKOLAI "NIKO" KONSTANTINE // WIP // CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE

Niko will be based off Choose Your Own Adventure style books. I'll attempt to explain him more after I've worked out the functionality of his bio a bit more.





I'm looking for some people who would be up for threading with one of these characters. Please keep in mind that their posting formats are experimental and may be difficult for some people to thread with. I'm not entirely sure how it'll work out until I try, but if I can make it work I think it'll be really interesting. Anyone up for it?

On a related, yet different note: I will not be opening up the Konstantines as a family plot, but I have been contemplating turning this into a District Eight library plot. All characters involved would be based off books and I would encourage experimental bios/posting formats that played off their concepts. Think dictionary or encyclopedia entries, a character told in noir format, poetry (Shel Silverstein anyone?!), instructional manuals, who dunnit murder mysteries, fairy tales, etc. Maybe no one else is as crazy as I am though, which is why I'm asking for interest instead of just making it. XD

I'm thinking it would be open to anyone who wanted to join, however. I would not outline any characters, people could just sign up with a book, concept, or genre to personify and then follow their own inspiration. We could plot the characters together in an explosion of oddball nerdiness! More of a focus on friendships or maybe some school drama. (Perhaps they could be a library study group?! Lol.)

Anywho, if you'd potentially be interested, then give me a heads up and we could throw some ideas around. ^^
