The 63rd Hunger Games Training [Plot]

You’re heard it before: twenty-four faces, twenty-four dreams—but only one can come out on top. But what about the week before their lives are over? This is the story—inside and out, of what was the last week of their lives.

Benat Izar

He’s a practical joker. Incredibly scared about the games. And wants to hide behind a week of blowing everything off so he doesn’t have to think about dying…

I'm not sure if anyone else usually plots before the games, but I figured I'd put it out there because I’d love to have Benat interact with a number of people (allies, enemies, etc) before going into the arena. I’m not sure how many people actually plan on threading in the training center when it opens up, but I’d like to open up the chance for character development to anyone who wants to thread with Benat.

So What Happens?

The One Where They Flirt—I’m opening this spot up to those that, in those long hours in the training center, might be looking for a little more than just getting ready for the games. Seeing as Benat is not taking his training seriously, his primary focus during his (probably) last week on earth is to party, eat, drink, and have as much fun as possible. This thread could lead to many things, though I am not planning on Benat “falling in love” (which also means he wouldn’t feel so bad killing this person in the arena, much to his/her chagrin).

The One Where They Hate Each Other— Everyone is going to have someone they don’t like, and if you relish the thought of your character picking on a lower districter, here’s your character’s opportunity. Benat is a pretty jovial, happy-go-lucky guy, so he’s pretty hard to get frazzled (although it’s all just a front).

The One Where They “Get” One Another— Want to share something important about your tribute? Want to make it really difficult for Benat to feel okay about attacking them and vice-versa (perhaps)? Here I imagine they strike up a conversation about something person, perhaps something they even have in common—leading Benat to feel less detached about the games and this character in general.

Have an idea besides these? Put it forward, I’d be more than happy to thread once the training center becomes active. I’d like to do as many threads with Benat as I can handle, so hopefully I can get a few in before the bloodbath. It’s not first come, first serve, though you’re all lovely writers so I’m sure it’ll be fun with whoever wants to write with me. =)
