Name: Lia Amelie Vacanti
Age: 27
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 10
Appearance: Her hair lies half-way down her back, permanently wavy from almost constantly being in a braid, especially at night. It's naturally dark brown, like her sister Larae's. She keeps it pulled back because, like her sister, she hunts and gathers. She has a strong, angular jaw, wide nose, and deeply arched brows. Her eyes are just as piercing blue as her sister's, an apparent Vacanti family trait. The one defining marker between the two is that Lia is quite a bit taller than Larae was, pushing 6'0 just like their father.
Lia has often been called 'girly' in appearance in the past, and she hates it. This has prompted her to wear dark colors, such as blacks, reds or purples. She also wears boots, suitable for hunting and you'll always find a small knife, tucked inconspicuously in her boot.
Her most defining marks are two scars. One scar that runs the length of her left calf, from an accident with a glass bottle when she was five. Because of this scar, Lia always wears long pants to conceal it.
She also has another, relatively fresher scar that runs the horizontal length of the back of her right wrist, from a secret suicide attempt that not even her own mother knew about, even unto her death. She hides this with a leather wrist band.
Personality: Lia likes to pretend that she is almost the exact opposite of her twin in almost all ways, but she can only fool those that know her and knew her sister for so long. She can be moody, of course, but she exudes the only intermittent doses of happiness within the drab, dreary and broken home in which she and her mother lived and shared alone since the death of Larae years ago, until her mother, too, passed away. She can also be very kind and gentle, especially to animals which she loves and find herself being closer to than even humans on her best days.
She doesn't make friends as easily as she once did, and she still struggles to keep them. She is very leery of making connections with anyone, because of the Games, especially after watching her sister die so brutally almost a decade before. She would rather not feel anything for anyone than get to close to someone that might be Reaped.
Lia is often a solitary soul, preferring to spend her time in large, overgrown fields where she can just lay down on the cool earth and get lost in her own thoughts, which she sometimes writes down in the small book, a diary, left by her father, a man she never knew.
History: Lia was born first, on a cool, grey Autumn morning, but only by three minutes. She had always used this point of contention against Larae, but only as a tease, never serious. Unlike her sister, Lia was very close to their mother, who had told her time and again that she should be going out, searching for her father and trying to bring him home and, while she had always considered it, she has yet to follow through with her thoughts or her mother's dying wish. Even after Celia fell ill and became almost permanently bed-bound, she stayed, unsure whether her mother would live to see the face of her wayward husband ever again, which she unfortunately did not and this fact still haunts Lia to this very day.
