Wolfy Morasco District 12

Wolfy Morasco has a very unique appearance compared to others in district 12. Her red curly hair and pale almost unblemished skin that she got from her mother make her look more like a china doll then a coal miner's daughter. The only blemish she has is a crescent shaped scar on her wrist. She always smiles through even the tough times. This smile has some people think she might be a bit nutty but she does not care.

Somehow she manages to stay pretty clean despite the coal dust. But of course that doesn't last very long. She almost always has a smudge of coal on her nose after delivering her father's lunch everyday. She also wears a special bracelet that her mother weaved for her out of the dry grasses along the fence.

Wolfy is most of the time as gentle as she appears. Her smiley persona is not faked unless she wants to protect her little brother from the truth of how horrid the situation is. She is very protective of her little brother and her father and would do anything to keep them happy. Sometimes she even steals food if that means keeping their stomachs full.

Wolfy can be very cruel though when she wants to be. If someone tries to steal from her or pick on her little brother they normally end up with some sort of broken bone. If anyone mentions her mother around her brother her look becomes very deadly. Somehow she manages to get away without any sort of punishment from injuring others.

Wolfy dreads the drawing every year. She has several extra entries from the extra rations she has had to get over the years. Just in case she is chosen she prepares herself by practicing throwing knifes and tying knots so she just might survive. She couldn't die and hurt her father and brother.

Wolfy Morasco was born the first child of Gregor Morasco and Diane Esme Morasco on October 13 15 years ago. Like most children she was raised with the fear of the Games over her head. But unlike most little girls the Peacekeepers would simply lightly scold her if she ever stole anything. At age 8 her little brother, Joseph, was born and her mother died in child birth. The only thing she had left of her was a bracelet and a memory of the night her mother mentioned how things had been much different for her in the Capital. Wolfy had never gotten the chance to ask her what she had meant and her father never told her but she knew in her heart her mother had once lived in the Capital.

She took on the task of raising the little boy while her father worked in the mines. Wolfy protected the little boy viciously and began to enter for extra rations once she reached the age of 11. Worried that she would be chosen, Wolfy took on the task of learning knots, plants, and knife throwing so if she would be chosen she would be able to come home to her father and brother.

She wears a smile that protects her brother and helps keep her father sane. But Wolfy is not ever exactly happy. She knows that without her her brother may be taken away from her father. She knows she must be prepared to be cruel. Wolfy knows in her heart that soon she will be going into the Games.
