Molly Pendragon District 10

Molly Amelia Pendragon is a skinny girl of sixteen with blonde hair and blue eyes. Her clothes sometimes are a bit revealing because that is all she has. Her hair sometimes appears to be missing any luster but considering the fact her district itself is quite poor it is easy to understand why she might seem a bit dirty. Her hair is often wild and her mother works hard to help her comb it out every night to no avail. She scarcely smiles because she doesn't have much to smile for.

Her hands are callused from working the fields. Her feet are often blistered from having no shoes or having shoes that are too small. She tries to look indifferent but sometimes a grimace will show when pain happens from her various blisters. Her sharp cheekbones seem graceful but really it is from lack of food that makes her face so bony.

Her legs are covered from scars from picking at bug bites as are her arms. The biggest scar she had actually came from her slicing her hand on a plow by accident when she was 7.

Molly Pendragon is an individual with few close ties. She fears loving people because she has felt much heartache in the past. She keeps to herself and seldom smiles. Sometimes she chucks her trowel at people who get to close to her in the fields.

Molly sometimes cries in her bed at night as she remembers the day her heart shattered into a million pieces. She is a diligent worker though so she doesn't ever get punished. She likes to think of her calluses as war scars that remind her that she still has a reason to live. Some days though she lets her inner pain leak out in front of others.

She finds it hard to trust anyone and often will not give a person a chance at all. Molly would have a hard time finding allies in the games because she seems almost too cold to not stab someone in the back. She doesn't want to seem cold but how can she let go of her past? She really wishes for friends.

Molly Amelia Pendragon was born the only child to a single mother by the name of Samantha Pendragon16 years ago in District 10. Her father had been a Peace Keeper who her mother had been sleeping around with. Molly never met her father and never even knew his name. It didn't matter to her much anyway.

Her mother did the best she could to raise her. She taught Molly to read and write herself because in order to keep food on the table Molly needed to work in the fields as well. Molly was actually doing field work by age 7 and only went to school for the minimum required hours.

Molly grew up in the fields working alongside her mother. It was there she met Alex, a little boy who lived a few blocks away from her. They would find ways to tease each other in the fields. Molly found herself falling in love with him. She had even kissed him while walking home from the fields and he had kissed her back. Then her heart was shattered when she was 14.

Alex had been feeling sick and he could barely pick up his trowel. The Peace Keeper had thought he was acting defiant. He had shot Alex right in the head. Molly had just sat there holding Alex as he bled out.

She became cold and separate from others. She couldn't look anyone in the eye without thinking of the life leaving Alex's for a while after his death. In a way she can never get over the death of him. But she hopes one day she can love again.
